Chapter 7

Cheryl's pov

It's been a couple of days since Heather showed up and there's been nothing but caos. She always try to flirt with me and would start stuff with my friends. Now I am in History class with all of my friends even Heather is in here. We have an assignment today that involves partners.

"So Today we are going to be learning about Slavery, African American culture. I'm going to assign partners to each person in the class.

Jason and Polly

Jughead and Betty

Veronica and Archie

Kevin and Moose

Fangs and Josie

Toni and Mad Dog

Cheryl and Heather.

He announced and my eyes went wide.

"Wait what?" I said

"Yes these are your partners." He explains

"All do respect Mr. Moree but shouldn't blacks and whites should be paired? I mean it is Slavery and what the African Americans went through not the whites. Our black ancestors are apart of the blacks, apart of us not the whites. What experience would the whites have? They don't know what it's like to feel criticized, to be questioned everywhere they go. Still to this day Police Officers, Mayor's, Teachers, Parents, and much more still are rasist." Toni said

"Yeah the whites have no idea what it's like, back in the day they were the ones beating us. Our parents from generations ago were in heat everyday picking cotton, running fighting, trying to survive. But not the whites." Mad Dog said

"So why shouldn't Blacks and Whites come together?" Josie asked

"Martin Luther King Jr. Had a Dream. That one day his four children would live in a nation, where they would not be judge by the color of their skin. But by their content and their character. So would you Mr. Moree be racist enough to be just like them people years and years ago?" Toni said and by now people had their phones our recording and others were crying.

"Class you may choose you're own partners, the assignment is due at the end of the week." He said wiping his eyes and going into his office.

It was silent at first the all of a sudden a clap started to go and then everyone would join in. There were a lot of Whoo's and yeah's going around

"Who knew my baby was so smart and stood up for what she believed in and what was right?" I said wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Umm, Toni that was amazing, I really didn't want to work with Veronica." Archie said

"Now baby would you make me the happiest person in the world and being my partner?" Betty said to Veronica

"Anything for you my love." She said

"Yo, Topaz this video I took of you standing up for you and your people are off the charts look at this." Rema said placing the laptop on the desk allowing us to look at the comments.

The things people were saying about Toni, Mad Dog and Josie were so inspiring. People were happy some were hateful but how cares? My baby speaks her mind

"Wow Toni way to woo in everyone with your little non of a good speech. It wasn't even motivating enough." Heather said with her two big brothers behind her

"What was that bitch?" Toni said stepping in front of Heather and us behind her

"You heard me, he pared me and Cher bear us together and you were mad so as always you say something then you have your way. I always knew you were jealous of me, jealous of Me and Cheryl's relationship. You were Shaking your feet" She said

"First of all bitch you don't know a damn thing about me, second of all ain't nobody in here Jealous of yo motherfuckin ass, talm bout shaking who's shaking? Not me. And a bitch like you will always want something what a bitch like me have. Cheryl will never love you, Cheryl never even thought about you a day in her fucking life. I'm her first love, I'm her soulmate, I'm her girlfriend, I'm her fiancee, in her future wife. Something you will never be, and if you so much as look as Cheryl I will end you." Toni said starring into her eyes.

"Where's the ring?" Heather asked

"You mean this ring?" Toni said showing her left middle ring infront of Heather's face. It was the promise ring I gave her

"Yeah we are engaged, she didn't tell you? We've been together for almost 4 years now. That 'relationship' that y'all had for 3 days was fake. It was a dare, she was going to rip your heart away and throw it out. She never loved or had feelings, she never will. Now run along little Birdy." Toni said

"Oh well if you do know me and Cheryl had some visits with each other before I came." Heather said showing Toni the messages we had. I almost forgot it wasn't anything bad, but at the same time I was asking to meet, and we kissed one time but it didn't mean anything.

"So next time I'd check with my Fiancee before anything." She said and Toni swong on her.

Heather's brothers were trying to jump in but Fangs, Sweet pea, Mad Dog, Archie, Reggie,and Moose jumped in while Veronica, Betty, Josie, and Polly jumped Heather. It was one big fight, me Kevin, and Jughead tried to break it up but it was no use.

The principal came in a we all had to sit in the classroom while everyone was being questioned.

"Principal Toni hit me first and then her manching crew jumped me and my brothers, they should be expelled or locked up." Heather yelled

"We did not asked the class." Toni retorted

"Who is this class period seen Toni and her friends throw the first lick?" He asked and no one raised their hands

"Who all seen Heather and Her brothers throw the first lick?" He asked and everyone raised their hands

"Thank you Heather you have 4 weeks suspended along with her brothers. Everyone back to class." He said walking out of the classroom

"I told you never to mess with me, learn your place bitch, you are in for a ride awakening. You should've stayed where you was." Toni says and walked out of the classroom and all of our friends followed

Toni's pov

I still can't get my mind out of those messages, Cheryl has been taking to this girl, behind my back. About our relationship, about my family, about our friends everything. I was in the hallway and Cheryl's was coming up to me.

"Baby."; Cheryl's said but I moved away from her

"Why are you being like that?" She asked

"Maybe it's because you've been talking to this chick behind my best friend's back." Kevin said

"Toni come on let's talk about this." She said

"What's there to talk about? Huh? Cause clearly you run to this bitch about everything. After I specifically told you not to. You kissed her, you went behind my back, you even stood there not taking up for me your own girlfriend while two niggas was about to put their hands on her. So what's there to talk about? The fact that our relationship means nothing to you,? The fact that you lied and went behind my back? The fact that I trusted you? Maybe you two were meant to be a happy couple. I'm done Cheryl, I'm so fucking dome trying to maintain a relationship that's not worth it. 4 fucking years gone, love wasted. All I need are my friends and family. So don't come to me, go to Heather because I'm done." I said taking off my rings and giving it to her

"Make sure you tell Heather all of these promises and mean them." I said walking away from her with eyes watering and tears spilling down my face.
