After a long moments talk, everyone sat down at the table in our apartment to cut the cake and eat. Alex put the cake down on the table and lit the three candles.

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you." Chuck started off and shortly everyone else joined in.

After Sam blew out the candles Chuck literally ran to the kitchen to grab a knife to cut the cake. "Sarah, honey where's the knife I had put out?" He asked.

"Oh, no need. I have one right here." Even though me and Chuck had quit the spy life I still kept knives with me just in case.

I grabbed a knife out of my boot but faced away from Sam, Molly and Clara as it might be a little disturbing for them. Chuck smiled weakly because he thought that it was silly for me to keep knives with me but it was like a second nature to me, keeping knives or a gun with me.

"So, Sam do you wanna help me cut the cake?" Chuck asked with his signature goofy smile.

Sam nodded so Chuck put one of her hands on the knife, he put both of his on top, and they both cut the cake together.

"Wait!" I shouted, "I need to take a picture. I forgot"

Ellie grabbed the camera of the counter, handed it to me and I took the picture. Chuck carried on cutting the cake and handing it out but stopped when he heard a knock on the door.

"I wonder who that could be." He contemplated whilst making his way across the room and after holding a grasp of the door handle.

After opening the door Chuck's face turned straight to me. It was General Beckman, one of the last people we had thought to see here. Casey saw the General and went straight to the door, walked out and shut it behind him. Chuck looked at me expressionless and so did Ellie and Devon. Morgan had just walked back in after Casey had walked out.

"Hey, what was that all about? Is the party over already?" He asked as soon as he walked in.

"No Morgan, Casey just left after General Beckman came. Remember her?" Chuck said.

We hadn't seen the General after she congratulated us on giving birth to Sam. Also when we quit the agency. Chuck attempted to peer through the curtains but was blocked by two large men in suits, as he had said. He also stated that he could only see the General giving Casey an envelope and then spoke but seeing as Chuck isn't a very good lip reader he couldn't make out what she had told him.

"Mommy?" Sam asked to break the silence thickly layered with tension. "Why is Case-logic leaved?" Her way of speaking was cute as she couldn't get her sentences right but it still was breaking through the emotions rushing through me after seeing the General.

"I'm sorry guys but I have to leave, something's come up in the agency and needs handling ASAP." Casey said straight after popping his head back through the front door.

Within 30 seconds he had come and gone and knowing General Beckman, she really needed Casey for something important.

"So should we wrap up this party or carry on?" Chuck whispered into my ear nervously.

"Okay kiddos! We have a new game for you to play!" Morgan shouted with a kiddish tone.

Molly and Clara went running to Morgan but Sam came straight to me. Odd.

"Mommy, where Casey gone?" She asked. I didn't know how to answer so I just said, "Don't worry baby he'll be back soon."

Ellie and Devon were busy talking to my mom whilst me and Chuck had cozied our way to the couch. We had been sitting there, tangled in each others limbs, fast asleep when Sam jumped in the middle.

"Owwwwww" Chuck grumbled which made Sam giggle.

Of course Sam had come for more questions about Casey but she couldn't ask because I had already gotten up and gone to let everyone leave.

"I'm sorry we are such bad party hosts. It'll be better the next time" I said grumbly, with a smile.
