His Persuasion

"Stay with you? In Prague?"

I love traveling. Don't get me wrong. As an actress, there are many opportunities that I receive throughout my career. I never hesitate in taking them.

But this offer's putting me in a tight spot.

"How long exactly is 'for awhile'?"

"I don't know. Three months?"

Three months? He said it so casually as if it's no big deal.

"Just the two of us?"

The way he raises his brows tells me I'm in trouble.

"Is that what you want? I can tell the crew to come a little later..."

Oh, no no no.

"You said I'd stay with you for awhile, right? Or did I misunderstand..."

There's a spark that glints in his eyes. He's probably surprised I was able to snap back.

Or not.

"I missed you."

I freeze as I feel his hand covering mine.

"Gomawo, Hyo Joo-ya."

I pull my hand away from him.

"Jong Suk-sshi, why are you doing this? You know my situation, right?"

"I know I sound selfish. I know you're going through a lot."

He reaches for my hand again.

"This drama's important to me. It's my comeback, after all."

I don't know why this time, I can't seem to pull back.

"I want to work with people whom I trust."

And suddenly, my heart starts to beat rapidly.

"I want to work with you."

So that is how I've come to this point.

After all of his skillful persuasion, I finally caved in.

I'd be a hypocrite to say that I'm not looking forward to it.

Or that my heart doesn't beat erratically at the thought that we'll be staying together at a far away place.

It's like a fairy tale, him sweeping me off my feet and taking me away from the chaos of my world.

Except he's not a Prince. He's Tuxedo Mask.

And I'm Sailor Moon.

Aisht. Stop daydreaming, Hyo Joo! He has a girlfriend now.

But he did say they broke up already-

"Hyo Joo-ya?"

"Ne, Jong Suk-ah?"

His smile tells me I slipped a little.

"Ah, Jong Suk-sshi!"

He smiles even more. "Let's drop the formalities, Hyo Joo-ya. We've known each other for a long time now."

I agree. "Let's do that. Call me noona then."

He seems to think for a moment.

"Aniyo."

This guy, really. "Fine. Since you're producing this drama, should I call you sajangnim instead?"

He laughs. "That sounds so old!"
