Chapter 2

Lily P.O.V

"I can't believe my brother is back." Natan scoffs drinking his coffee.

"He's an asshole." He shakes his playing with a napkin on the table.

We are at Starbucks, which is our hangout place. I usually get a strawberry frappe and he gets a Mocha coffee. We went here everyday. It's our scared place. But not so scared since other people are here too.

"I won't disagree with you on that." I smile biting on my straw that me alright straight.

"So let's not talk about him..let's talk about you Lily." Natan takes a deep breathe putting his eyes on me strictly.

"You know everything already Natan?" I reply questioning what he's going to ask next.

"Are you dating anyone..found anyone? I have to know my best friends relationship status." He chuckles leaning his head on his hands.

"I am in no relationship nor do I like anyone." I roll my eyes laughing at his question.

You love Vice.

I did but I didn't want to. I didn't need him to be here though. I never wanted to see him after college. He got more handsome by the moment. It almost felt impossible that he was sculpted like a god.

"Do you like anyone?" I ask twirling the ends of my blonde long wavy hair.

"Thanks for asking and yes I like someone." He nods his head giving me puppy eyes.

"The little wimp likes someone?" Vice voices says, showing up behind Natan.

"Please tell me your finally going to ask out Lily?" Vice says taking the chair from the other table in front of us and sitting with us. Was it bad my breathing picked up?

"Why are you here?" I ask rudely rolling my eyes not so happy anymore. I always wanted him with me, but I could act like I did.

"I know you guys want me here." He lets out a sigh smirking at me. His eyes were focused on me? He was looking at me?

"So tell me who you like Nat." He knocks his hand on the table.

"You don't need to know." Natan scoffs drinking the last sip of his coffee.

"I'll wait for you in the car Lily." Natan says walking over to the trash and throwing away his coffee.

Now I was to deal with Vice. The guy I have been in love with since I was 14. Shit and I wasn't half way done with my drink.

"Well if he won't tell me then you will." Vice keeps on going on with the crush nonsense. He didn't know Natan was gay and I couldn't tell him.

"I really- it's not my place to tell Vice." I shake my head drinking my coffee, trying to get rid of it gadfly.

"I'm still surprised you know my name, or remember it." Vice says looking me in the eyes. His beautiful brown eyes. They captured me again.

Fuck my life!

"Believe it or not I didn't think you remembered my name." I chuckle shaking my head drinking the last sip of my coffee.

"Well how could I forget it?" He asks shrugging his shoulders.

"You never said anything to me? That's why I think that." I stand up pushing down my skirt.

"I payed more attention to you than anyone Lily, I just tried not to show it." Vice says standing up with me walking by my side out the door.

I didn't say anything back. I couldn't. He didn't just say that though? Am I dreaming?

"I'll see you later flower." Vice says waving his hand walking to his car.

Flower? What the fu-? Oh...

Lily is a type of flower.
