Summary

Ricky, Nini and all their friends live in a universe where your soulmates name is tattooed on your left ankle when you turn 18. Ricky's birthday is in a few days and his girlfriend hopes her name will be on the tattoo, will it be her name or will it be someone else's? Everyone is in the same year.

Ricky's POV

"Hey Babe?" Ricky called to his girlfriend of 5 months.

"Yeah baby?" She said sitting down on his bed beside him.

"It's my 18th birthday tomorrow, so, I will find out if we are soulmates" I reminded her "What if... It's not... You?"

"Babe" she started "Then we aren't meant to be. Ok?"

"Ok" I responded "But, we will still be friends, no matter what happens. Right?"

"Of course baby" she said sweetly giving me a kiss on the head "I've got to go shopping now. Bye babe"

"Bye Gina" I said to her as she left.

Nini's POV

I was on my phone going through my calender to see what I have in for the next couple of days when I saw it was Ricky's birthday tomorrow. I should get him a present when I'm going shopping with Gina. He's turning eighteen so he will find out his soulmate. The gang's gonna have a sleepover at Big Red's in his basement and stay up till at least twelve so we can all find out who it is.

I'll admit. I have a small crush on Ricky. Fine. You caught me. A HUGE crush on Ricky but he has a girlfriend, who isn't me, and she will probably be his soulmate so I should probably get over him as soon as possible.

*Knock knock*

Gina must be at the door. I can't let her find out about my crush on Ricky since she is my bestie and he is her boyfriend.

"Hey GG!" I said as I opened the door.

"Hey Neens" she smiled hugging me.

"Come on in" I said pulling away from the hug and moving away from the door for her to come in.

"Nini, I'm worried" Gina confessed.

"Why, what's wrong?" I asked her.

"What if I'm not Ricky's soulmate? What if it's someone else?" She stressed sitting down on the sofa "He told me today about how he was worried about the same thing and I, of course, am worried as well but I had to be the bigger person. I said we'd still be friends no matter what happens but... What if we aren't meant to be?" She looked up at me with tears in her eyes.

"Look" I started sitting beside her "If you are meant to be then I am happy for you and you will be happy but if not then you will find your soulmate someday and you will be happier with them. You and Ricky can stay friends no matter what happens though"

"Thanks Neens" she said wiping away all her tears.

"Time for shopping?" I asked her, standing up and sticking my hand out for her to take.

"Time for shopping" she repeated while we lifted our bags and left for the shopping centre.

*At the shopping centre*

"Should I get the blue dress or the red one?" I asked Gina.

"Red, definitely" she replied looking at her phone "Big Red wants us in his basement in ten minutes. You cool with that?"

"Yeah" I said purchasing the red dress "Ready?"

"Uh, not really" she said "I'm nervous. I mean this could change my life"
