That was how the next weeks passed by — filled with conversation with Seokjin as they did various things together. They started off with innocently tagging along with Seokjin while he cleaned, but then they also attended him when he cooked, and when he undertook his morning walks around the gardens. It turned out that Seokjin was indeed as soft and innocent as they expected — he was patient, but his shy nature made it hard to see his true self.

That was why it took them a solid month of gentle courting and many hours of talks to break Seokjin down. Hyung line were exceptionally busy that month, so they were surprised to hear a squeaky laugh accompanied by maknae line's chuckling coming from the library, their cheerful noises echoing pleasantly through the walls and spreading around the mansion.

The older members poke through the cracked doors and saw Seokjin folding from laughter, desperately holding the books that he was supposed to put back on the shelves. Jungkook and Jimin were on the floor, gasping for air like fish out of the water as they shook from chuckling so much. Taehyung had tears in his eyes and was faring no better. It took them a few seconds before they cooled down.

"Hyungs~" Seokjin whined while he tried to calm his breath down. "You are distracting me! I still have to put away like a dozen of books!"

"Let me help you then," Jimin suggested, already standing up and dusting away dirt from his clothes.

"No! You guys should rest! You just came from a mission!" Seokjin adamantly shook his head with a pout. "You also said that you have a sore back!"

"Yeah, yeah, but it's not nice for us to just watch you do chores," Taehyung argued back with a pout.

"But it's my responsibility," Seokjin fired back.

"What if we relieve you from those responsibilities so that you can assist us in different ways?" Namjoon spoke up from the doors, stepping in and catching everyone's attention.

Seokjin yelped from the shock and plastered his hand on his racing heart. "Oh sweet goodness, I'm gonna have a heart attack," he murmured to himself.

"I would prefer you not to. We enjoy your presence a tad too much. Especially these three," Namjoon pointed to the maknae line who simply grinned as a reply, in a silent agreement. "Hence, I think that it is reasonable to readjust the responsibilities by placing you as our chief assistant and hiring someone in your place to support the rest of the staff."

"What do you say, Jinnie?" Jungkook urged with sparkling, pleading eyes.

"Uhm," Seokjin hummed, unsure. He looked at each member and they only nodded their heads once their eyes met. "That would be an honor," he responded shyly, looking away.

"I will start the preparations then," Namjoon concluded, typing on his phone to delegate the work while the maknae line literally tackled Seokjin down with a loud oof.

After a year, Seokjin was a stranger no more. He exceeded everyone's expectations by becoming an excellent chief of the staff, thoroughly managing all that was happening in the mansion. He knew all the nooks and hidden places, and BTS members were amazed by his efficiency and practicality. During the past months the members grew closer to Seokjin who became that odd sheep — he neither killed nor came from a corrupted background. Seokjin remained kind and giving, not showing any pains and exhaustion even though he overworked himself on an unhealthy regular basis because managing a mafia house was a no small task.

Even though BTS had expressed on multiple occasions that they would like Seokjin to just be their guest, Seokjin had refused, preferring to work and perform his duties since those responsibilities gave him something to busy himself, a purpose in life you could say — something that he didn't have for majority of his life. However, he agreed to partake in acting classes in a nearby small university for fun because he was intrigued by the actors on their humongous screen.
