Kyle had gone for a few minutes to fetch us a laundry basket from our dormitory rooms while Awsten and I found our way to the stairwell. Ky would probably take another five minutes to come back.

After ten minutes passed, I could see a tall lanky man with light hair running over to us, a large laundry basket in hand. It looked like it could fit two or three people in it, if you squished enough. Kyle's long legs carried him quickly back to us, though he was huffing and puffing and his face was red. He dropped the basket to the ground, looking at me with a grin.

Kyle, Awsten and I sat in the basket, in order of back to front. Just as we were about to begin the journey down, Kyle's phone pinged.

"Oh damn it I gotta go. Luke's cat is giving birth and he needs my help." He told me. Kyle gave me a 'hah. Date number two for you.' kind of smirk.

"Oh! Could we tag along?" Awsten asked, obviously. Kyle  shook his head 'no' in response to his question.

"Mokus doesn't feel safe around other people. I've gotta go on my own. Sorry." Remington replied, breaking out into a spring in the opposite direction.

"That sucks. Ready?" Awsten asked, and, without giving me the chance to respond, he pushed off, causing us to rocket down the steps. I wrapped my arms around his, pressing my palms into the back of his hands, letting out a shrill squeal of fear.

"Aws!" I called out, laughing as we slammed into the wall, saved only by the pillow I had shoved in front of me to make sure landing wouldn't hurt too badly. Awsten cackled maniacally while I sat bug-eyed and trying desperately to catch my breath.

"Gotcha." He laughed, patting my shoulder as I wheezed, starting to laugh. The adrenaline shooting through my veins somehow managed to calm down my fear, replacing it with an addictive joy.

"Wanna do it again?" I asked, standing up beside the basket and glancing down at the green haired man whose joyful expression dropped, causing me to panic once again.

"I'd be delighted." He stated in a serious tone, shooting lasers into my eyes with his own. I smiled, relieved at his response.

Awsten and I then spent the next few hours going back and fourth in the stairwells in the basket until we got caught by one of the English professors who taught at our school. Awsten chuckled joyfully as he and I made our way back to our dorms.

"Wanna go to Otto's for band practice this Saturday?" He asked, arm wrapped around my shoulder nonchalantly. I hadn't quite noticed, considering I'd been looking up at him for the entire time we'd been walking.

"Yeah! Of course!" I smiled, nodding in agreement with the highlighter headed man beside me.

A moment of comfortable silence passed as we made our way closer to the rooms we called home for the duration of our final school years. Awsten glanced down at me every once and awhile– I had noticed because I was doing the same thing.

"I like your laugh." He said suddenly, stopping in his tracks when we were at his dorm room. I smiled at him, pink dusting my cheeks slightly.

"I like yours too." I replied, to which he had the same response as me; only his grin was bigger and goofier looking. I loved it about him.

"You can come in if you want?" He suggested as I was about to head to my own dorm. I paused for a moment. "We can watch the office? I'll make you hot chocolate or something." He added, red rising to his face slowly.

I nodded, then I asked him, "Hot chocolate?"

"We're having a childhood day today. Kid me demands it." He replied with a grin, which sunk as he quickly added, "unless you don't want to, I mean."
