Janus, the god of lies, he was a sweet little liar. The children he saw at night, crying and running for their lives. He couldn't continue watching. He spoke those sweet lies.
"Everything's going to be fine" He said to the children. He knew he was lying but it was better to have hope instead of no hope. He loved the way he spoke the lies, convincing and sweet. Like a mother would for their children.
"Mallory, Daven, come with me. I'll show you the wonders of life" Janus spoke, his scales faded away, it showed he was telling truth. The children just did not know why but they did not care. They took his hand. Hands warm compared to theirs. Mallory's face was covered with dust and dirt but it was hard to tell from her natural skin. But one thing Janus knew was she's going to grow as a beautiful woman.Daven had pale skin, but he knew his natural skin was a warm ivory skin, such delicate skin. He knew he would become a pretty boy as he grew up. His hair a warm brown, it shined through the moon.
"Where are we going Lady of the night?" Mallory said before the other chuckled, that was a myth humans said about him when he was the god of lies. they had somehow said he was a woman, from how he dressed? who knew, he had a crop top and short sleeves, it was the blackest color. A belt that held his half long skirt. it showed half of his leg and the other half was covered. His skin was pure white, just like snow whites skin. He took the children of despair to the world of wonderland.
"To the world of wonderland my dearests" Janus cooed, his left hand held up as the world shifted, there was light from where they were. It was warm and comfortable, small winds swaying around at times. Making the atmosphere calm."Children," The liar said, his smile genuine, he knew humans couldn't stay here for long. But how could he just let the children of despair like this? It hurt because he was one of them. He wanted to save some before he left. He needed to save the most before he leaves the world.
"Do you like this place?" Their gazes were soft, tears running in their eyes. They loved it, It was warm and not cold like it always was. They looked cleaner. Mallory's trenched shirt became a dress that flowed until her knee. It was black and white. While davens trenched clothes became a sleeved shirt and a new pair of pants.
"Oh lady of the night thank you" the children cried out as they gave out their smile. This was the best thing they had in years. The children played while all the gods began to talk. Wrath spoke first,
"Janus, why are humans here?!" He angrily said, About to punch the other but morality had held onto the other. With a small smile of disappointment. Patton stared at Janus, Janus was too nice. He spoke sweet lies instead of dreadful ones. Because Janus wasn't Deceit, nor Deceit was Janus.
"I needed to help them!" Janus said, tears in his eyes. They never understood humans, they were delicate, sensitive, noble. Why did they not see the children of despair? Because he was one of them and they aren't.
