Kellin's POV

“Aye Kells, we'll be back." Matty called as Brittany pulled him towards the ferris wheel.

I sighed and waved them off. I wouldn't've came with them if I knew they'd ditch me every five minutes. I flipped them off when they turned to leave and wandered aimlessly around the carnival. I was texting my friend Jeremy, when I bumped into someone. I looked up and started in awe.

“Hey, dunk me!" He said.

“W-what?" I asked.

I looked behind him and saw the dunking tank. He must work here.

“Dunk me, just throw the ball at the target! Cuties get a free one." He winked.

“oh, okay." I blushed.

He handed me a bright yellow ball and hurriedly climbed onto the little seat above the tank. I aimed and he stopped me.

“Wait! You should know my name first, right? Hi, I'm Mike, I like your hair. Ya know, with the red streaks in it and whatnot. What's your name?" He was talking so fast and it was kind of cute.

“Hi, my name is Kellin. And thanks, I life your tattoos." I said, glancing at his shirtless body. He only had swimming trunks on.

I aimed again and threw the ball. He's lucky that I have a terrible aim because I completely missed. He chuckled and threw another ball at me.

“Awwe, ya missed! Try again."

“Why do you want to be dunked so bad?" I muttered.

“Oh, I don't. That water is reeeaaally cold but I just want to keep you around." He smiled.

I tried saying something but all that came out was a light squeal. He called me cute again and laughed at my bright red cheeks. I threw the ball at the target. Surprise, surprise, I missed again.

“Damn, you have a terrible aim." He giggled.

“Oh really?" I asked and inched closer to the target.

"Yeah, you almost hit that little old lady over at the cotton candy cart!" He exclaimed.

“Hmm." I said.

I punched the target and he submerged into the tank of water. His face was full of shock when he came back up. He swam to the edge and let out a low whistle while I continued to die of laughter.

“Hmm, this little cutie is smart, huh?" He chuckled.

“I guess I am, I guess I am." I said.

“Hey, I get our of here in half an hour and I'm starving! How about we get something to eat." He said.

“I-i uh... Yeah, sure!" I smiled.

“Swogh!" He said and did a fist pump.

I helped him out of the tank and the station was barely getting any customers. He put a shirt back on, to my displeasure and we shared a cotton candy stick, which he ate most of, and talked a lot. I met his older brother and found out that they travel around with the carnival. I've completely forgot about Matty and Brittany.

“Hey, it's nine o'clock already, time to leave!" He said.

“I walked here, so...." I said.

“Oh, it's cool. I like walking. Hey let's walk to that pizza place over there!" He squeaked.

I really liked the way he was so happy. It brightened my mood a lot. He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the tiny pizza place. He ordered a small pizza and we sat in a booth by the back, giggling and eating.

“So, I'll be here in town for a week. How about we meet again tomorrow?" He said as we walked out the pizzeria.

“Okay, that'd be great." I smiled.

He ended up walking me home. I didn't mind, my mum likes seeing me with friends. We exchanged numbers and I was about to walk inside but he lightly grabbed my shoulders and kissed me. It wasn't full of tongue but it was sweet and gentle. I instantly melted into it and my arms wrapped around his neck.

“See ya tomorrow, right?" He asked breathlessly.

“Of course." I breathed.
