"I really didn't expect this," Mezzo said observing the courtyard. "The whole legend of a monastery in the Enta jungle. I thought it was a fairy tale until I was told to investigate it. Now here we are, after a few days of monster killing, we find Dodd the Unkillable. Just when everyone thought he had been killed. I guess they didn't start calling you that for nothing."
"Yeah," Dodd said, tapping his fingers on his ax. "I like to live up to people's exceptions from time to time."
"Ah," Mezzo said, sliding his hand down to his sword as he walked around the courtyard. "Exceptions indeed, how's life been treating you, Dodd."
"It was going pretty well until today." He shrugged.
"I can understand." He said, observing the flower garden. "Dodd the Unkillable." He said, amazed. "You know we came here for two reasons. First is to investigate the legend of the monastery, and then the second is for hunting humans, the Double H squads in particular."
Hensei's heart skipped a beat.
"Really?" Dodd said "They've been seen around this area?" It sounded like an actual question.
"Yeah, an orc raiding party hit two of their squads pretty hard recently." He kept pacing around the courtyard. "The raiding party was killed, of course. They weren't anyone special, so they didn't stand much a chance. The idiots thought just because their captains were gonna they were easy targets. No offense Dodd but orcs can be arrogantly stupid sometimes."
"Offense is taken," Dodd said watching him with hard eyes.
"If you must. They did scatter some of them, though." He was getting closer to Hensei's window as he paced around.
"So, you then hear the stories of the monastery that takes in orphans and thought maybe we took in some wounded human soldiers?" Dodd said, knowing Mezzo's train of thought all too well.
"Yes, we did," He came to Hensei's window, and Hensei docked. His heart was beating incredibly fast; he thought it might burst. His entire body was tense. This elf Mezzo gave off a horrible murderous feeling. Like he wished to kill everything around him. "You see one was the Steel Dog squad which house a group of children called the demon children."
Hensei tensed even more. He felt as if his entire body would be locked forever.
"You don't know them, but they are fearful children that have killed some pretty skilled men. I have been tasked with killing them, so they don't become future threats. Kill them while their weak one would say. So, the higher-ups and I thought to investigate this rumor just in case."
"An interesting matter," Dodd says, arms folded.
"Yes." Mezzo began walking away from the window and back to the group. "We just wanted to check, but since you're here, things have gotten even more interesting."
"Well, you can be on your way Mezzo. I don't really care to talk to you much more."
"Not even going to say hi to your old second in command," Mezzo said, sounding offended as he pointed to the massive orc.
"I don't think you care much to talk to me, do you Rooshra?"
"Maybe kill but no not talk." The orc said in a gruff voice that echoed from behind his helmet.
"I'm truly sorry, Rooshra," Dodd said in a more sincere voice. "I left you behind and look what it's done to you."
"It made me stronger Dodd, stronger than you could ever be."
"Ha... Ha-ha. Hahaha." Dodd roared a rich laugh that only angered Rooshra. "So, you'd like to dream Rooshra. So, you'd like to dream."
Rooshra hand twitched in horrible rage, and Hensei thought he would try to kill him right there.
