Hesper's POV
I was mooning through our tiny window, my gaze facing the wilderness, thoughts occupied in fear of the unknown future. My cogitations were disturbed by a rustle behind. I turned to see Luna who by the look of it was still awake.
' Trouble sleeping?' I simpered.
Luna nodded. 'Could you sing a lullaby?' she pleaded.
' I really don't know...' I hesitated.
' Please do!' Ki and Aurey joined in, their puppy eyes begging desperately.
I gave in as I sat down on the soft hay cover and let out my voice to create a clear melody forming a familiar song mother would have hummed us to sleep with. I missed her so much, we all did. This chant, these lyrics were the only remnants having left from her.
I knew there was no way I could replace her anyhow, but I recognised the importance of giving my siblings a decent future. Through fire and water I would do anything just to make them happy...
* * *
My eyes opened to find myself lying in a foreign chamber. Then it dawned on me where I was as the memory of previous events was regained. I came to a realisation that what I had just experienced - me among my family back at the farm house - was just a mere dream or a flashback to be exact.
As I stood up and covered my shoulders with a silk scarf I was given earlier, my feet brought me to a window a window where my eyes met the dark sky filled with glimmering diamonds. I recalled caroling a song about the stars, how they shine brightly in the sky burning out a way for us when everything appears gloomy and frightening. Luna loved it the most. If only the stars radiated enough to show me the way out of this mess.
'How am I going to save them?' I sighed.
My meditation was disturbed by a slight rustle picked up from the hallway. As I slightly opened the door, I peeked my head out and observed cautiously only to discover complete obscurity and blackness. I met left the room to get a better look. That was when I regretted ever leaving it as a pair of two strong arms embraced me - one covering my mouth to prevent me from making any noise and the other averting me from escaping.
My orbs were covered with a cloth, although I found it absolutely ridiculous, since It was too dark to see anything anyhow. The surface left my feet, causing me to grasp the other figure tightly to prevent me from falling.
It took us some time to let me finally breath easily as I once again felt the hard floor below. Once the fabric disappeared, I perceived weak green light radiating from the centre of the tiny room I arose in. Before me sat three men I didn't recall being familiar with.
Then unexpectedly a figure shifted behind me, taking a seat next to me.
' I apologize for such a queer fashion to introduce ourselves, ' he spoke up as a huge smile spread on his face, eyes glimmering with excitement. 'Namjoon didn't necessarily permit us to make contact with you in any particular way so we were left with no option but to temporarily abduct you for our get-together'.
I hadn't responded yet when a young man bolted out of nowhere. His face simpered in a boxy smile, orbs burning with eagerness and animation.
' You are so adorable!!!' he crushed me in his embrace. ' How can someone so timid and vulnerable play huge role in such a grandiose plan?!' he vocalised dramatically and added ' I'm Taehyung by the way'.
