I am why he is like this... It's me. He's so messed up because of me.

His fists continue to drop against my face. I am begging him to stop, but his anger has not only blinded him, but made him deaf. Drinking can do that to you.

I try to cover my face, but it's no use.

"You stupid whore!"

His fists stop, and everything is a blur. I feel his hands wrap around my neck and the pressure stops my breathing. He's choking me... I lift my hands trying to push him away, but it only reaches his chest. I attempt to cry out for help, but I can't utter any words. I feel burning tears pour down my face which goes into my fresh cuts. My eyes begin to slowly close as the world around me spins and comes to a blur.

BANG!

Nathan drops off of me and I slowly catch my breath again. The room is getting darker and I hear faint words.

"You'll be fine , the cops are almost here . Stay with me , Elizabeth."

I hear banging on the door.

"I'm so sorry."

I try to say something, but my mouth couldn't move. I just mumbled.

BANG!

I hear a loud thump against the floor. Another loud crashing happens and I hear faint noises. Everything slowly fades and I black out.

~~~
My eyes slowly open as I hear whispering.
"Her eyes, they are opening."
I mumble trying to show signs of life. The voice is very familiar. I look over at the direction the voice is coming from. I see an outline of a lady.
"I can't believe it! My daughter has been gone for almost a year. Thank you god for returning her to me."
My mind is still groggy as I try to communicate.
"Mom?"
"Yes, honey I'm here."
I hear another voice overpower my mothers.
"Ma'am, please do give her time to wake up. Too much and she might have some negative affects."
"I want to speak with my daughter."
"You can, just exit the room for a moment. I'm going to talk to her about the state of her health. She can have family time when she's more stable."
"Okay, fine."
She stands up and exits the room.
"How are you, Elizabeth."
"Where am I? Where's Matt?"
"You're safe now. You should be more worried about how you are right now."
"Where is Matthew?"
"Whoever took care of that wound did a good job keeping it from getting infected. The one on your stomach, I mean."
"Yeah."
"You hit your head pretty hard. I stitched up the crack that was once there. You have been sleeping for almost a week now. Six days."
Oh my god. So much is flooding in my mind.. What happened?
"Your cuts on your face are looking alright and you leg is better. You will be fine."
"Thanks, where is Matthew?"
"Matthew, meaning your kidnapper?"
"Yeah, him."
