*Hey guys! Sorry I have been slow on updates lately, but the wait is worth it! This is the final chapter of Darkness Rising. Unless you count the epilogue, then it isn't. I will be publishing the two at the same time, to decrease suspense. Enjoy 'The Fall of Raven'!*

Everyone heard the dragon roar. Evie, Carlos, and Jay looked at each other with knowing smiles. As the battle raged on outside their base, the kings and queens began to grow restless. Cookie was chasing her tail, Shiv was snapping at Evie's new soldiers, and Henry was staring longingly out the window. Lonnie fiddled with her sword watching the soldiers fall and wincing, Jane practiced her aim, Audrey twirled a spear around her fingers, Ben waited anxiously, and Doug was doing his best to avoid Evie's gaze. Carlos began to pace.

"When can we fight?" he asked anxiously.

"Our soldiers need help," said Evie.

"You have no weapon," said Hunter softly.

"Right!" said Jay. "Raven's stupid guards took our super cool swords."

"We have weapons," said Lonnie, standing up. "Let us go out there."

Audrey, Ben, and Jane looked at Hunter. Carlos and Jay tensed.

Hunter sighed. "It is not me you must consult this decision with."

Lonnie walked up to Jay. "I'm going."

"Don't die," he said.

Lonnie smiled at him. "I won't. It's like you don't know me."

Jay smiled and hugged her tightly. "Stay safe," he whispered.

"I will," said Lonnie, letting go.

Jane looked at Carlos pleadingly. "Please can I? My mom never let me fight battles."

Carlos gave her a look. "I'm glad to hear that. I just don't want to lose you."

Jane sighed and looked at her feet, her cheeks turning pink. "I'll try not to."

Carlos rested his hand on her shoulder. "Come back to me, alright?"

Jane nodded.

Ben looked at Evie. "I'm Auradon's king. I should go."

"You're not king here," said Evie teasingly. "But you are brave. Go kill yourself. Mal will be here soon, I know it."

Ben nodded. He missed his fiancé. He wanted her here, so he could hold her and never let go. "Me too."

Evie smiled. "Go."

Ben nodded ant turned to leave. He paused and turned around. "Evie?"

"Hm?" said Evie, looking at the map.

"Talk to Doug," said Ben quietly, so the others wouldn't hear. "He means well."

Evie felt her cheeks warm at the sound of his name. "I will."

Ben smiled, winked at Doug, and left.

"I'm going to fight those idiots," said Audrey.

"I'm not stopping you," said Uma.

"You're not?" said Audrey, confused.

"Nope," said Harry.

"Because we are going too," said Gil. The pirates raised their swords and grinned.

"You guys are acting stupid," said Audrey.

"So are you," said Uma, punching her lightly in the arm. "Now, lets blow these bastards."
