Formaggio watched as the gun exploded in Melone's hands in a flash of blue light.

"MELONE!" he yelled. He pulled out his little box again from his pocket and pulled out a charm he'd been saving for a desperate moment. This seemed pretty fucking desperate to Formaggio. This bitch was done. He put the box away and the RPG launcher grew to full size in his hand. "Try and dodge this, wench!"

He fired. The grenade whistled through the air and exploded into the stand user. She dropped from the sky.

"Fuck yeah! That's what I'm talking about!" Formaggio lowered the weapon and fist-pumped into the air. He dropped the spent launcher to the ground and ran over to Melone. The lavender assassin lay twitching with one hand over his eye.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, oh god there's so much blood...okay, Mag, you can do this." Melone's mask was barely hanging onto his face. Formaggio tried to move the hand but Melone cried out.

"I gotta see it, man. Move so I can help you." Formaggio tried again and this time Melone relented. The eye was red and watering. It must have been damaged but Formaggio couldn't see any shrapnel in it. The blood was gushing over his eye from a cut on his head. There were pieces of metal poking out of his face elsewhere, but the eye itself looked to be intact. That doesn't look too bad for Giorno to fix. We can at least get through this mission.

"Maggi...?" Melone cried.

"It's alright, Mel," Formaggio pulled another charm out and a first aid kit grew in his hands. "I'm gonna patch you up, no problem."

"I can't see...it hurts."

"Well, you might have been burned or something, but there isn't anything I can see in there right now. Lucky." Formaggio tore off the rest of the mask and began to wipe away some of the blood. He carefully removed the metal shards and cleaned the wounds as best he could.

"Wh-where is she?" Melone asked weakly.

"I blasted her ass out of the sky." He started to bandage the wound and then wrapped gauze around Melone's head to cover his eye.

"What about the others?" Melone asked.

"Ghiaccio's headed our way to help. He's okay since Glacé found him."

"Good."

"Alright, can you stand up? We might as well go meet up with them." Formaggio helped Melone to his feet but Melone gripped his arm hard and stuck very close. Formaggio started walking but it was awkward with Melone using him as a crutch. He tried to shake him off. "You can walk on your own, dude. Your feet are fine."

"...Formaggio...I'm blind," Melone said softly.

"What? Your other eye should be fine." Formaggio thought his eye looked a little different but it didn't have any irritation or visible damage.

"I can't see out of this eye." Melone pointed to his right eye. "I've never been able to."

Formaggio stopped and looked at him while Melone stared blankly past his face. He wasn't looking anywhere near his gaze but Melone's eye searched futilely anyway.

"Are you fucking serious right now?" Formaggio huffed. Melone just nodded. "Jesus...how am I supposed to get you down from here?" He looked around and then over the edge at the fire escape.
