Iceberg
"Iceberg! Right Ahead!" The crewman named Liam shouted through the phone.
"Thank you," The crew from the other line replied.
All the crew and people in the engine room, started to shout and yell orders for the other crew to run and work faster. The iceberg was getting nearer and nearer and they can hit it anytime if the ship don't turn. They're doing it for the sake of the thousands passenger aboard.
The people and workers in the boiler room started to reduce the steam pressure. Yelling here and there, as the workers fastened their movements, turning wheels, and everything to make the ship stop or to go turn the other way. Just to avoid the iceberg that is waiting at the front.
"Why aren't they turning?!" Liam shouted, nervously, as the iceberg getting closer.
"Is it hard over?!" Officer Murdoch asked, looking at the iceberg.
"It is, yes, sir, hard over!" The crewman replied.
"Come on, come on, come on," Officer Murdoch softly whispers to himself. Hoping that the ship will turn.
"Turn. Yes," He added.
The ship got closer to the iceberg, it turned but not so far. Still so close.
"It's going to hit!" The man shouted and ran.
"Jesus Christ," Liam whispered as the ship hits the iceberg.
The ship hits the iceberg.
The workers in the boiler room started to yell, run, and do whatever they could possibly do just to get off there. The water started to fill the bottom of the ship, every part of the ship was shaking because of the impact.
Two thousand and two hundred passenger's lives were now in a danger. The iceberg was so near, they have done all they can just to avoid it, but they failed. The basement was now filled with water.
No one knows what happened. Only the crew members and workers on the ship who witnessed the occurence. The Captain of the ship sensed what happened. He immediately came out of his office and asked the crew to know what happened.
"What was that Mr. Murdoch?" The captain asked.
"An iceberg, sir. I put her hard to starboard and ran the engines full astern but it was too close. I tried to port round it but she hit and the-"
"Close the watertight doors," The captain commanded, cutting Murdoch off.
"The doors are closed, sir," Officer Murdoch replied.
"All stop"
"Aye, sir!" The crewman replied as they started to obey the captain's order.
"Find the carpenter. Get him to sound the ship," The captain commanded as he started to take a look outside.
Some rooms were already filled with water, as the passengers started to noticed it. Of course, they didn't know what happened. Some people in the front deck played with the crashed ice. They know they have missed something.
JADE'S POV~
Some passengers came out of their room to see what happened. I don't know what's happening too. Perrie and I were just kissing earlier until we felt some shaking and we immediately pulled away. We witnessed the iceberg, as I thought the ship hits it. The ship hits the iceberg. I sighed, remembering Perrie's bad dream. No, and please. I wish nothing bad happened. Please please please.
We went upstairs at the first-class station. And we overheard the conversation of the captain, Mr. Andrews, and two other crewmen.
"Boiler room six is flooded eight feet above the plate. And the mail hold is worse. She's all buckled in, in the forward hold," The crewman stated.
