*Guys I actually cried when writing this chapter so grab your tissues. There's a lot of emotion that went into this chapter and I hope you guys really enjoy it. BTW ITS BETTER IF YOU LISTEN TO SAY SOMETHING BY A GREAT BIG WORLD WHILE READING THIS*

"Taylor! Wait!" I screamed, running out of the house after him.

He turned to look at me, then kept going, this time walking angrily. I ran up to him and grabbed his arm only to have him pull it out of my grip.

"Taylor. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that any of this had to happen. But, you knew when you came that me and Hayes were a thing. I know you're hurt and I'm sorry but really you put this on yourself."

"I put this on myself? Are you kidding me? You're the one who kissed me back! Remember? Do you not remember me taking to you about the kid that you're crawling back to who hurt you? I was there for you when he wasn't but yet you run back to him! I want you more than he ever has and I've known you for a lot less than he has! So don't you dare say I put this on myself!"

"But you did! You didn't have to talk to me! You didn't have to offer to make me feel better! You didn't have to do anything that you did! And you especially didn't have to kiss me! I know I kissed you back and that's a mistake I'll have to live with. But I love Hayes and I know he loves me. He has a hard time showing it sometimes but I know it's there."

"I did all of that stuff because you were hurting and I couldn't stand to see you that way! Next time he hurts you I'll make sure to leave you alone and let you bawl your eyes out for days!"

The fact that what Taylor just said about "next time" makes me instantly start to tear up.

"What? Are you crying? What did I say?"

"You said the next time he hurts you. As in there will be a next time."

He paused for a moment before answering. Choosing his words carefully.

"Dani. There will always be a next time. He will always hurt you. But that's something everyone goes through. Love is a bond and in agreeing to that bond you agree that you're gonna hurt each other. You're gonna piss each other off. You're gonna laugh at each other and scream and yell. But, in the end, you choose to stay because living without each other would hurt even more than leaving each other because you were hurt."

"But he's trying so hard. He's trying to change. He's trying to make me happy. He's trying to keep me happy."

"I know. I know he is. But, we're all humans. We aren't perfect. We're gonna say stuff we don't mean or that we wish we never said. We're gonna wish we could take all of that back. You know the saying "Words can be forgiven-"

"-But never forgotten" Yeah. I know it."

"Well, I believe that if you really love someone you can forgive and forget. Because all the happy memories that you'll make together will overcome that one bad thing and you'll see that staying with him is better than leaving because of an argument. Dani, I have some of the strongest feelings for you. But, I know that Hayes is right for you. If you love something, you have to set it free. So, this is me setting you free. Telling you to go be with Hayes. Go talk to him. Go make things right. Go forgive and forget. Go love him. But, most of all, go make memories."

He reached over and whipped my eyes with his thumb. He wrapped his arm around me one last time before finally giving up on the idea that we could be real, that we could be a thing, then he let me go. And he stared at me as I turned and walked down the street. Back to Hayes' house, back to where the boy I loved would be sitting on his bed mad at the world for ever introducing me to him. It wouldn't be easy. But, I know that I have to make things right. Right between everyone. I continued to walk until I reached the familiar door. I looked back and down the street to Taylor who was now sitting on the curb, his head in his hands, and thanked him. It was like he heard me because as soon as I thought it, I could see him look up and I swore I saw a little grin creep across his face. I opened the door and went straight to Nash who was sitting on the couch.

"Nash?"

"He's upstairs. We calmed him down a little but he's still pissed."

"Should I go talk to him?"

"Do you want to?"

"I mean, I have to make things right."

"Then go make things right."

I turned to walk away then Nash's voice stopped me.

"Dani?"

"Yeah?"

"Promise me that you'll never leave him."

"What?"

"You're good for him and you know he's good for you. You guys fight a lot but that's what makes you guys special. You refuse to give up on each other."

"I promise."

I turned and walked upstairs, to Hayes' room. Knocking, waiting, until the doorknob turned and the door slowly opened and I saw the boy I love in tears.

I couldn't stand to see the sight of him like this. I instantly broke down. He stepped back and I walked into his room. He shut the door behind me and walked further into his room with me. I turned to look at him and he was just staring at the ground. I stopped, turned around, and just hugged him. And we just stood there. In the middle of his room hugging until we both fell on the floor crying.

"I'm so sorry." I could barely get out.

"I know. I thought you were going to leave me." He said quietly

"I would never do that. I'm always gonna be here. I'm always gonna be yours."

"I know I should've treated you better and I'm sorry. I promise from now on I'll do better." He said looking up at me with the blue eyes that I fell in love with

"Hayes, I could never ask for anyone better than you." And I meant it.
