Chapter 13

Lucy's POV

I had a horrible nightmare that night.

In the dream

I woke up in the middle of he night, tired and groggy. I looked around and noticed I was alone. I got out of bed and quietly walked downstairs to the kitchen. After getting a glass of water, I suddenly heard a sound coming from the backyard. I was completely alone inside, so I figured it could've been Natsu, though I was confused as to why he would be outside this late.

I walked to the back and went outside, shutting the door behind me. I looked around, but found that Natsu wasn't there. However, I did find someone out there. It was Lisanna, staring at me with a grimace smirk. She then began to speak. "Well well well, look who it is." I was shocked. "What are you doing at my house." I said, stating it more than asking. She chuckled quietly. "Why, you should already know that." I looked at her confused. "Natsu's gonna betray you. You may as well give him up to me." She stated, causing me to become a little agitated.

"There is no way I'd ever let you have him. He loves me. He'd never break my heart." I confronted her. She laughed again. "Don't be so sure." Suddenly, Natsu appeared next to her, smiling. I watched in shock as she grabbed his collar and kissed him. He seemed to kiss her back, deepening the kiss. "No!" I shouted as my eyes began to well with tears. I cried out as I continued to forcefully them. I sunk to the ground, balling my eyes out.

End of Dream

I shot up with teary eyes, gasping. Waking up, I felt Natsu's strong arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I smiled and lightly ruffled his hair. He squirmed a little before hugging me tighter. I giggled.

"I'm gonna take a shower. Do you want to join me?" I whispered to him, gently stroking his hair. He groaned and fluttered his eyes open, smiling. "Mm, sure. But cuddles first." He stated, sinking his head into the crook of my neck. I slightly giggled at the ticklish feeling before relaxing the rest of my body into his embrace.

After about fifteen minutes of lying in bed, I forced Natsu out of bed. He groaned as I dragged him into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and stripped, as did he. We hopped into the shower and wash ourselves for a few minutes. When we finished, we grabbed towels and continued getting ready. Natsu was finished before me, so he headed downstairs to make breakfast. Once I was ready, I went downstairs as well and saw him in the kitchen.

"So what's for breakfast today?" I asked, sitting down at the island. "Crepes." He replied. I stood up and walked over to him, kissing his cheek. "Ooh. Sounds delicious." He chuckled and continued the food.

After a while, we finished our food and headed out the door towards the school.

Once we arrived, we got out of the car. He began heading for the front, entering the school before me to not cause any suspicions. I grabbed a book out of my bag and entered his room to look as though I was going to get help from him. Once I entered the room, I set my stuff down before walking behind him at his desk and wrapped my arms around his neck from behind, laying my head on his shoulder. He chuckled and placed his hand on my arm.

"Hey baby." He said. "Hi." He chuckled. "What you doing?" "Staying with you until the bell rings." He laughed again and pulled me onto his lap while continuing to work on his computer. He then looked at me strangely. "Baby, were you crying?" He asked, touching my face. I frown and looked down, saddened. "Hey." He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look up at him. "Tell me what's wrong." He looked deep into my eyes in concern as he waited for me to respond.

I sighed. "I had a nightmare." I started. He stayed silent, expecting me to explain. I told him the whole dream while crying slightly. He stared and listened as I explained it. When I finished, he wrapped his arms around my small waist, hugging me tightly. Out of auto response, I hugged him back, burying my face in the crook of his neck. "Shh, it's okay. It was just a dream. That won't happen, I promise." He reassured me as he rubbed my back lightly.
