The Games: Part 4

I looked up to see that banner. And Damn was I glad to see that face.

On one side, it read, "Schadenfreude"
And the other, "Mirage"

Nice

I walk over and wait.

Speaker: One Minute till drop

Y/n: "Elliott! Where are you you son of a bitch?!"

Mirage: "Sorry, I was uh... doing stuff..."

We got some laughs from the other legends.

The platforms dropped from under us and we picked a location.

Mirage: "So kid, where we goin?"

Y/n: "Well, definitely not market. That's the hot drop. I'm thinking artillery."

Mirage: "Alright. LETS GOOO!"

We jumped and Mirage directed us to artillery.

I pinged where I was going and got to work. I picked up a P2020. Just my fuckin luck.

I found a purple armor upgrade and equipped it.

Mirage: "So, whatcha got?"

Y/n: "Dog shit. You?"

Mirage: "Same. Just keep looking"

I kept looting and found a Longbow DMR, along with a 6x scope.

Y/n: "Now were talking"

I picked up some extra ammo for both weapons, and found an extend mag or the pistol.

Y/n: "Lets meet up at the center, then, we go to the cage. Got it?"

Mirage: "Loud and clear boss"

We follow the plan, and make it to the cage safely.

Mirage: "Hold up, enemies, top floor. They haven't spotted us yet."

Y/n: "Lets keep it that way. What guns do you have?"

Mirage: "Uhh wingman and an R-99."

Great

Y/n: "Ok, here's the plan. You go up there, SILENTLY, and tell me which one you're gonna take. I'll get the other one."

Mirage: "you got it boss."

A couple minutes go by and I hear mirage over comms

Mirage: "Ok, there's Gibraltar and Bloodhound. I'll get bloodhound. Make sure you hit ol' Gibs in the head, he's got a lot of armor."

Y/n: "Sure thing. On my mark."

Y/n: "3....2.......1..... Offenes Feuer!"

I take down Gibraltar at the exact same time mirage takes bloodhound. A perfect kill.

Y/n: "Good work, old man. I'll meet you up there."

Mirage: "Hey!"

Down to the last 3 squads.

Elliott and I took down another squad,
Caustic and Bangalore

I heard gunfire in the distance, I halted Mirage and we took to the scene silently.

I see the last teams.

Seemed to be Pathfinder and Crypto on one team, with Lifeline and Loba on the other

Damn it! I can't kill her. I'll have to let them battle it out.

Mirage: "Hey, kid! You alright?"

Y/n: "Yeah... yeah I'm fine."

Mirage: "You got a plan?"

I smirked

Y/n: "Ok, we're gonna let them battle it out. Then, we fight the remaining squad."

Mirage: "Gotcha."

We waited for the shooting to stop.

I prayed to God that it wasn't Loba's squad left.

We heard them talking in a building. I threw in my blindness grenade, and activated my silencer. Mirage sent in a grenade and we waited for the explosion.

*BOOM*

We broke down the door and moved in.

P2020 in Hand, I cleared the rooms. I heard a screech and ran into the other room.

I saw lifeline holding a gun to mirage's head.

Shit, it's her squad

I quickly shot 5 rounds into her head, downing her.

Lifeline: "Aw man, and I was jus beginnin to like ya."

I shot a round into her head, killing her.

I quickly attempted to revive mirage, when suddenly.

*shwwp*

???: "Hello, baby. How's your first game going?"

Y/n: "Hey babe. It's going great. Amazing actually."

Loba: "What? How? Because it seems like I've got the gun pointed at you. And it seems that Mirage there is in a pickle as well."

Y/n: "Yep. Keyword: seems."

Just then, mirage's clone disappeared

*chink*

Mirage: "Good one, kid"

He shot her

Y/n: "Sorry babe. I'll cook sometime, alright"

I then tossed a frag at her, Crypto-Banner style.

Loudspeaker: "YOU ARE THE APEX CHAMPIONS"

Mirage and I celebrated.

We waited for the ship to come pick us up, but I couldn't stop thinking.

Not about anything in particular, just, thinking.

We made it to the mainland and were greeted by a huge group of paparazzi.

As mirage posed with his clones, I looked around for Loba.

She somehow made her way over to me and pulled me in a hug. Flashes everywhere.

I decided to take this opportunity for a great picture.

I unhinged my gas mask and pulled Loba in for a kiss, I took my hat off and shielded our faces with it, using my other arm to hold my middle finger to the cameras.

Damn I felt like a badass. Hell, even the legends were staring in awe of what I was doing.

But, I'm not about all of that noise.
