Kenny leaned against the counter, and Kiyoko entered the common room with her trusty clipboard in arms. She walked over to the cowboy and greeted him briefly,

"Pleasure to finally meet you, Kenny. I'm Kiyoko, and I'm the leader of this gang."

She introduced, outstretching a palm, and he shook it reluctantly with a gloved hand. Kiyoko averted her gaze towards the group, and adjusted her glasses before explaining the agenda,

"So, I've been working with Oikawa and some of my girls to create a vaccine for the virus using his dormant cells. Adding to that, I'll also be helping (Y/n) better understand and utilize her abilities."

She gestured towards you, and Kenny's brows furrowed slightly. He didn't know for certain whether or not it was true you had the ability to control walkers, and the whole idea of it was extremely farfetched.

Who could blame him though? Anyone would've had their doubts about such outlandish claims.

However, if it meant that even in the slightest possibility that his daughter would be able to grow up in a safe world without this horrible virus. Then, he was willing to at least be open minded about it,

"Then, once we've figured all that out, we'll begin our search for Mark. Kenny will be the one to provide the details of his locati--"

Kenny stood up straight, clearing his throat loudly and interrupting Kiyoko's words. Everyone directed their attention towards the cowboy as he parted his lips to speak,

"If I provide those details, that is. I'm still not one hundred percent sure I can fully trust any of you. I'll have to observe the way you guys run things around here before I make any final decisions."

Kenny stated firmly, and Tanaka clicked his tongue in annoyance as he slammed a fist against the tabletop. Causing you to flinch slightly,

"Seriously?! We don't have time for your lame antics, old man! Can't you see we need to locate Mark right away?!"

Tanaka yelled, still peeved by Kenny's previous actions in the bar, and the cowboy's brows furrowed angrily. However, before Kenny and Tanaka could argue, Kiyoko intervened,

"It's alright, Tanaka. If he needs more time to build that trust, then there's nothing we can do about it."

The dark haired female spoke, and Tanaka pursed his lips. Not wanting to accept Kenny's proposition, but alas, he had no other choice but to listen to Kiyoko.

Tanaka scoffed before seating himself, and Kenny exited the room promptly. A brief moment of silence filled the atmosphere and you frowned as you averted your gaze to Lucy. Whom sat beside you rather politely. For some odd reason, Kenny's dog was attached to you,

His dog is actually very mild mannered and well-trained.

You thought absentmindedly, before reaching out to pat her head, and she licked your palm a few times as her tail began to wag in excitement.

A small smile widened on your lips as you observed the adorable animal in front of you, albeit, your mind wandered,

I really hope we're all able to resolve this tension between us, and fast.

You thought, as your gaze lingered on the door's exterior,

[Two days later]

The past few days, Kenny's gotten to know you guys a bit better, and even build bonds with some of you, but even so, He still wanted to be extra cautious. Trusting random strangers on the street wasn't exactly the smartest decision. Whether that be in an apocalypse or otherwise.
