Warning: Lies, swearing bullsh*t, b*stard, f*cking, a slight sexual innuendo, a punch, broken nose and blood near the end of the chapter.
Thomas stared at Emile Picani, who had gone back to being his cheerful self, asking questions that Thomas didn't want to answer or questions that he had to lie to.
"Now Thomas, I'm going to ask again. Did something traumatic happen in your life?" Picani asked again.
Thomas went to say no, besides his ex-boyfriend, but then remembered what his friends said, lie.
"Now that you mention it doc, yeah..." Thomas lied, "I guess I began remembering when I was in... Isolation..."
Emile nodded, "takes your times this is a very safe environment."
Thomas nearly laughed at that, "well, it's my Uncle Mike." Lie, he had no Uncle Mike, "and to be fair it was an accident, but he accidentally knocked me down the stairs when I was five. And if I remember correctly, I think that's when I began seeing ghosts."
"If it was an accident-"
"I thought he did it on purpose for the longest of times." Thomas said, he channeled his acting and began tearing up.
Emile frowned for the boy and handed over the box of tissues, the box having Cinderella on the front. Thomas took one and dried his eyes.
"You made good progress today, Thomas." Emile smiled, the smile never reaching his eyes. Why would it? Emile was a bastard.
Thomas smiled sadly, "thanks doc."
Thomas was taken back to his cell, where he promptly fell asleep, excited his acting skills were still up to par.
When he sat down for breakfast the next day with his new friends, he said, "the art of bullshit really does work."
Remus smirked, "told you it would work kid."
Patton nudged Thomas' shoulder playfully with a smile on his lips, "it's gonna get easier to lie, even though I'm not a fan."
"You're not a fan of lying, even though you like a pathological lair?" Thomas asked, a smile on his face, making Janus laugh.
"Kid has a point Pat." Janus smirked.
Patton rolled his eyes, smiling still, "you're different."
Logan raised an eyebrow, "how is that different? I mean, he's lying to ge-"
Remus covered Logan's mouth with his hand and grinned, "let Patton love the liar."
Logan's eyes moved to Remus, an unimpressed look in his eyes.
"Hey, are you two together or like, into each other?" Thomas asked, pointing at Remus and Logan.
Remus smirked, "define into each other, kid."
