ONE
the fashion show

THE DETECTIVE GIRLS were all gathered around a table at their favourite local coffee shop.

From where she sat sipping her own coffee, MARA spoke up. "I just noticed this morning, but today marks the start of Fashion Week here in Crossbar! Imagine getting invited to one of those shows, it would be such an honour."

"I heard that famous designer Raphaël Varane is having one of his shows here, too," LILIANA nodded eagerly. "He's a French / Crossbar native so we should definitely find a way to sneak into the show. We all know I've done that so many times, it's bound to be no problem."

As much as the group wanted to joke or comment about it, Liliana's charisma skills had helped them a lot. Not only just for their little detective agency, but for life in general. And they were forever grateful. They wouldn't have got to experience many wonderful things if it weren't for her charm and ways.

RAPHAËL VARANE was only twenty seven. With his immense talent compared to older designers, his wage was simply triple theirs. His work pieces, specialising in florals and frills, was nothing but clouds and flowers filled with rich and beautiful materials.

"As an ex-actress, I'm still expecting my invitation in the post." GRACIE sighed lightly. "Did all my hard work with the theatre crew do nothing to earn me a little slip of card? Honestly, I did work hard."

SIERRA spoke next once her mouth wasn't full of blueberry muffin. "Gosh, I remember that time when I was helping stage manage for Fashion Week here in Crossbar a few years ago. It only seems like yesterday..." It was a daily thing for Sierra to reminisce fondly about her past jobs and occupations.

"Do you know what, I'm actually surprised The Detective Boys haven't showed up since last week. It's crazy, they practically follow us and with them brings murder, disaster or in good news, a new case for us!" VALENTINE signalled BEN CHILWELL, the owner of the cafe over for a refill of coffee for everyone.

"I honestly don't get their hype..." MATTIA said while sticking her coffee cup out for Ben to give her a generous refill. "They're the ones that bring chaos and trouble upon everyone. Honestly, if they didn't exist, things would be far more pleasant. Besides, I'm still here waiting for our actual credit for some of our cases since the beginning."

All of her fellow Detective Girls members could definitely agree on that. THE DETECTIVE BOYS were nothing but quite literally, useless individuals regarding solving detective cases. Instead, they literally brought tragedies and solvable cases everywhere they went. Which also happened to be where The Detective Girls were!
