TWO
the interrogations

DETECTIVE MARC BARTRA didn't know whether to be thankful to see the eight girls or slightly worried.

Him, along with everyone at the police station knew that trouble and murder followed this girls and his own girlfriend. It did help him have an interesting and fulfilling job, but it didn't mean safety or happiness to others.

"Of course you guys were here..." He spoke lowly to Liliana, who he had grabbed over to speak to privately a few moments ago. "Seriously, Lili, I'm worried about your safety. I don't want to get a call in the future and find out that your dead body has been found in an event like this that you and the girls attended. I only want to keep you safe."

"You see, it's not like we actually plan on causing any harm." Liliana replied. "Wherever we go, it's no surprise that The Detective Boys follow. I think they are the ones who cause chaos everywhere they go. Adri just managed to get us tickets for the show to celebrate not having the boys on our tails for over a week. Yet here they are and someone is dead."

Marc normally would've tried to argue back with his girlfriend, but he knew she was a skilled charmer at heart. He, however, was a hardworking police detective who wouldn't stop until he found out the true meaning behind any of the cases he worked on. If collaborating with The Detective Girls was an option, he would have to do it.

Internally, Detective Marc Bartra felt ashamed that he couldn't break through the strong charismatic walls Liliana Avila had built high and wide. It may have been one of the reasons he had fallen in love with her, but as she wasn't going to leave the location, her and her friends may as well help Marc and the force.

"As it seems like I won't be able to reason with you, I'll let the force know that you're all with me. We have multiple people who have claimed to have spoken or interacted with the victim, so we need all the help with interrogation stations around the venue."

"The next words that I'm about to say may disgust you, but please trust me on this one. From past experiences with the help of The Detective Boys, they have solved multiple cases around the city with you girls around. That's why I'm going to pair one Detective Girl and Boy to help with the interrogations."

"NOOOOOO!" Liliana may have spoken a little too loudly with her answer. If only the likes of the cops and Marc knew how irrelevant The Detective Boys were. If they just took a holiday for once, the girls would finally get their glory. "You can't, Marc! Please, mi amor. Trust me on this one when I say that this is an awful idea! No words can describe how horrible this sounds."

Marc wasn't even listening to her anymore so he couldn't get wrapped under to charismatic spell anymore. His decision was final and there was nothing The Detective Girls could do about it. If they wanted to back out, that was fine. But knowing them, the girls only wanted to uncover the truth of Louise Labelle's death.
