Jessica's POV
I knew I wouldn't run fast enough to catch her, nor would I be able to get Lily back fast enough. I felt like an awful sister, but I knew what I had to do. I snuck into the Apollo cabin, doing a quick look-around for Aaron, and seeing him in bottom bunk in the corner, tiptoed over to him. He was on his back, snoring lightly. I covered his mouth and shook him awake. He threw out an arm, aimed for my throat, but stopped as he saw who it was. I jerked my head towards the door, and he nodded, following me as I walked outside. I turned and faced him.
"Ashley got her," I whispered. He shook his head.
"How? I know she couldn't have gotten past you," he said. I shook my head.
"I told her to put Lily down, but she just said,'make me' and ran off with her," I whispered. "I'm a horrible sister!" He put his hand on my shoulder.
"We'll get her back, don't worry. Did you follow her?" One glance at my face told him I didn't.
"There was no way I'd catch up to her. She ran faster than I've ever seen anyone run..." I said sadly.
"There's no way I'm letting her take Lily. Not till I'm dead," he growled. "Let's go find her."
"We won't be able to find her in the middle of the night. Wait till all the campers are awake, and we can do a full- out search. It's useless with just the two of us." I knew I was winning the argument. He finally sighed.
"Fine. But I'm announcing it at breakfast tomorrow," he said. "Well, see you in the morning."
"See you in the morning, Aaron," I said.Aaron's POV
I should've seen this coming. I should've tried harder to keep her protected. Then she wouldn't be in some unknown place, probably being tortured by Ashley, if she wasn't dead already. No, I couldn't think that way. I'd find her, and heal her again if I had to. I finally got the girl to try to trust me. I'm not going to let her die! I went back into my cabin. There was probably an hour before breakfast. I'd look for her myself. I had my own special gifts that would help me to find her... I went back outside and sat on the side of my cabin, closing my eyes. Then I imagined Lily's face while silently praying to my dad Apollo to help me find her. Suddenly Zeus's Fist popped into my vision. Then it went to the left about a hundred yards and stopped at a tree hidden in a little shadowy place. I gasped. Lily was tied up and gagged, so even if we'd tried to look for her, she wouldn't have been able to call out or anything. But I'd found her. And now, I had to go get her. I jumped up and started running towards the Poseidon cabin to tell Jessica I'd found Lily, but stumbled.
"Crap," I thought. Whenever I did that, it left me drained of energy. So I had to walk back into my cabin and lay down till I heard the cabin start getting up. By then I felt pretty good, so I walked out and went to the Poseidon cabin to tell Jessica that I'd found Lily.
