Lily woke up in her cabin. She got up and stretched, and heard the conch horn sound. She started running towards the pavilion. When she got there, everyone was there. There were several surprised gasps at her arriving there. Apparently no one had known she was back till now. She went to her table, then sacrificed her food.
"Oh my gods, you're finally back!" Lily heard a familiar voice squeal. She turned around and saw Jessica. She smiled.
"Yeah, I'm back," she replied. Jessica sat down beside her.
"Where were you?" She asked. Lily told her about Calypso's island, and the boat coming back. Then she told her about her and Aaron. Jessica squealed again.
"I knew you'd choose him! It took you long enough though," she said. Lily rolled her eyes.
"Oh, shut it," she said, and started eating. She was starving. As she got up, full, someone came over to her. It was Lynn.
"I need to talk to you," she whispered, glancing over at the Apollo table. Lily followed her gaze and saw Aaron talking to some of his sibling. She nodded and followed Lynn out of the pavilion and into the semi-darkness of the porch of the Poseidon cabin.
"What is it?" Lily asked Lynn. Lynn glanced around again.
"It's about Ashley," she whispered.
"Ashley's locked up, right? In Artemis's prison," Lily responded. Lynn looked back at her, fear in her eyes.
"Ashley escaped. We don't know how, though. She just... Disappeared," Lynn whispered back. Lily looked at her, wide-eyed.
"No, surely she couldn't-" the rest of her sentence was muffled by a hand covering her mouth.
"Oh, but I have my ways, Lily," Ashley's voice said in her ear.
Lily bit into her hand, hard. Ashley let go, cursing. Lily turned around and punched Ashley in the face.
"That ones for torturing me," she growled. She threw another punch. "That ones for torturing Aaron." Another punch. "That ones for possessing me." Another punch. "That ones for kidnapping me." Lily kicked her, hard in the stomach. "And that ones for trying to kill me." Ashley stumbled back, her nose and lip bleeding, out of breath. Then she gave a wicked smile.
"You can't run from me. I'll kill you. And then you'll wish you'd never been born. Cause I never kill anyone quickly. They all die slowly," Ashley said, then disappeared.
"How can she just disappear like that!" Lily said.
"She's a daughter of Hades. They can always shadow-travel," said Lynn, who was still behind her. "You ok?" Lily nodded. She didn't have a single scratch on her. Lynn shook her head.
"I've never seen that before, but cool," she said. "Nice job on taking her down."
"Taking who down?" Came Aaron's voice from behind Lily. He glared at Lynn. "And I told you not to tell her yet! She wasn't ready!" Lily turned to Aaron.
"Not ready! I need to know when she's loose as soon as she's loose so I can be ready for it!" Lily yelled at Aaron. She was fuming mad. "I can't handle all these secrets anymore! I'm done right now!" Aaron tried to reach out for her, but she glared at him. "Don't," she hissed. She walked to the edge of the ocean.
"Lily, please! I just wanted to keep you safe!" Aaron's voice pleaded behind her. She whipped around and glared at him.
"And you see where that got me?" She asked him. "Ask Lynn what happened to Ashley." Then Lily jumped into the ocean. She went all the way to the bottom and sat there, not getting wet or floating up. She sat there and thought about what was going on. Her birthday was in three day. It was supposed to be happy, but she had a feeling it wouldn't go well... Lily fell asleep on the bottom of the ocean, alone with her thoughts.

"Lady Lily, please wake up," Lily heard tiny voices saying to her. She sat up groggily and wondered why she wasn't at her cabin, in her bed. She looked around and saw the ocean floor, then remembered what had happened last night. She groaned.
"Lady Lily, they are looking for you on land," she heard the voices say again. She looks around, and saw a group of fish.
"They are? They know I'm down here, why would they look for me?" She wondered aloud. The fish shook their heads.
"We do not know, but you should hurry. They are getting frantic," the fish whispered in her mind. Lily nodded.
"Thank you," she said, and swam back up to the surface. She saw Lynn, Aaron, Chiron, and Jessica up there. Aaron saw her first and ran towards her.
"Finally! We were getting nervous," he said. Lily shrugged.
"Why? I was just sleeping," she said. Aaron walked a little then hugged her.
"We were afraid she'd get you," he whispered in her ear. Lily hesitated, then returned the hug. They pulled away, although they still held hands. He looked at her.
"You ready for training?" He asked. She nodded.
"Yeah, just let me throw in some other clothes. I'll be right out," Lily said, walking towards her cabin. Aaron nodded.
"I'll wait for you in the arena," he called after her. Jessica, Lynn and Chiron were still there. "Thanks guys," he said, breathing a sigh of relief. They all nodded and walked off, with Aaron jogging to the arena.
Lily changed her clothes and ran to the arena. When she got there, she saw Aaron holding a sword, practicing on a dummy.
"Isn't it better to have a real person to practice with?" She called, making him jump.
Aaron turned and flashed her a grin. "I had to wait on your slow butt," he said back. Lily smiled.
"Well, now I'm here! Teach my slow butt then," she said. Aaron nodded and slashed at her.
"Block with your blade. Find a spot to stab me with. Twist a little faster." Aaron kept giving her tips, making her work harder. By lunchtime she was exhausted but happy. She walked to luck holding hands with him. After that, Latin and Greek, then dinner. During the campfire, Chiron clopped his hoof against a rock, making everyone go silent.
"Tomorrow night, there will be a Capture the Flag game! Since the Hunters are here, we will do our customary campers versus Hunters game," he called out. Everyone cheered.
Lily was heading back to her cabin after the campfire, still thinking about how her birthday wasn't going to end well.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Aaron's voice came from behind her. She shrugged.
"Oh nothing really," she said nonchalantly. He raised an eyebrow.
"You're lying," he said. Lily huffed and turned to him.
"How do you know I'm lying?" She asked. He laughed at her.
"My dads the god of truth. I can always tell when someone's lying," he replied. She shook her head.
"It's nothing important. If it was, I'd tell you, ok?" She replied. He nodded, but she knew he didn't believe her. By now they were at her cabin, and she turned to Aaron.
"Goodnight," she whispered. He grinned at her.
"Goodnight to you too," he whispered back. He leaned down and kissed her.
"Not right here, not right now!" Came a voice from inside the cabin. Lily grinned.
"Too bad, Jessica!" Lily shouted back. She looked back at Aaron and got on her toes, kissing him again "I'll see you in the morning," she whispered to him, and walked into her cabin.
Aaron trained Lily extra hard the next day in preparation for the Capture the Flag game that night. They skipped learning Latin and Greek and practiced archery and sword fighting. That night after dinner, they all met at Zeus's Fist, the rocks that had looked like a pile of poop to her the first time she saw them. All the kids were suiting up in armor, which Lily already had on. She had her necklace on too.
"You ready?" Said Lynn from behind her. Lily turned around, smiling.
"Course! I'm gonna beat you," she said. Lynn grinned back.
"The campers have never beat us, and you won't either," she replied. Lily raised an eyebrow.
"Let us see, shall we?" She asked. Lynn nodded and walked over to the group of Hunters, who all had their bows out and we're talking quietly. Lily walked over to one of the Athena kids, who was saying some of the plans.
"And we'll have Lily and Jessica guarding the flag by the creek," she heard. She walked over to Jessica, who was talking to Aaron.
"They have us out by the creek," she told her. Jessica nodded.
"Let's go ahead and walk over there, shall we?" She said, already walking over towards the creek. Lily waved to Aaron and ran to catch up to Jessica. They walked in silence till they got to the creek.
"I'll take this side, you take the other," Jessica said, pointing as she talked. Lily nodded and walked over to where Jessica had pointed. A few minutes later, she heard a conch horn sound, and yells as the games started. She smiled and waited for someone to try to get the flag. She heard a rustle behind her and turned, getting her sword off her necklace as she did so. She turned and saw a flash of silver.
"I know you're there," she called. She saw Jessica give her a strange look, but when she pointed towards the trees, she nodded, understanding. Another flash of silver caught her eye, but this time it was coming at her.
