An hour later Stanley and Bev where on their way home. Stanley's head locked on his shoes with his lashes slightly wet. It was clear he was crying but no one seemed to notice. Once Stanley got home he went straight to his room and watched TV for the rest of the night.
The next morning he hung out with Bill. Bill had a stutter that never went away.
"How w-w-was the pi-p-pick nick?" Bill asked not knowing what really happened
"It was good, good" Stan repeated himself just to hear his voice. The sadness swept through his voice but it was clear enough for Bill to notice
"Bev s-s-sh-said yo-u fell a-asleep" Bill said this in a curious way.
"Heh, yeah I did"
"I was tired. Fell asleep in her lap" Stan souses between the two sentences. His voice shake-y.
One thing that no one besides Stanley knew was that he watched Richie and Eddie through spring, and fall, and he watched the rain fall. He sat and watched them even if it was raining. He was so attached to them he couldn't convince himself to leave. He watched them until they left.
5:02 p.m Stan packed up his things and was on his way. He walked with his head down in the pouring rain. As he was spacing out he saw a glimpse of a bath tub and after that he saw red. He never thought about it. Why would he? It's just a random thought that popped into his head. He kept walking until he got to his front door.
"Hey Stanley-bear" his mother called out while she was hunched over stove fixing up super. Stanley said hello and was straight to his room. He rummaged in his backpack for his diary.
Dear diary,  Eddie and Richie came over yesterday. It was nice. Richie made us tea and Eddie made breakfast. I didn't see that many birds today but the ones I did see where beautiful.
Stanley wrote some more. He was crying, not sobbing into his hands, just a tear would drop once in a while. Stan didn't know why he was crying exactly, all he knew was that he was. He wrote until 8:00 p.m then he just shut down. At eight Stanley seemed to just automatically fall asleep.
