Five

Saturday Stanley thought. At last it was Saturday. A rainy day but always the best day of the week. Stan heard a knock on his door.
"Yes?" Stanley looked down to the small boy with his hand twisted around Richie's.
"Come one bone-head. We're going to the quarry"
"But it's raining?"
"Who cares? A little rain never hurt no one"
They got on their bikes after Stan got dressed and they where off.
The rain fall.. it's perfect. Stan thought. Stan was prepared for today.
The rest of the losers where there, already in the water having a good time. The three got undressed and ready to jump in. Stan stood at the edge looking over, he seemed scared to Eddie. Eddie grabbed his hand and gave him a gentle smile then Richie took Eddies hand. The rain poured down.
"One, two, three!" A pause between each number then they all jumped.
Is this what it's like to be happy? I feel accepted for once. Stan thought to himself, a smile on his face as he fell gracefully into the water.
Splash. The three came back up from under the water with a laugh. Eddie went over to Stan and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. They swam for hours. The group climbed back up to the top and one by one they all left and then there where three.
"Richie, Eddie, can I y'all to you guys for a sec?" Stan asked his eyes to the ground
"Yeah! What is it bud?" Eddie asked.
"Well I- um-"
"Spit it out Bill! Oh sorry Stan!" Richie said mocking Stanley
"Well I want to date you. Not just one of you both of you!" Stan blurred out. Word vomit.
"I've been thinking of a polyamorous relationship" Eddie said, almost disgusted in himself.
"Well is everyone interested in a relationship with the three of us?" Richie said sliding his shirt on as the rain fell on his glasses
"I am"
"I'm interested"
"Well then it's settled" Richie said. Rich went over to Stan and grabbed him by the collar and kissed him
"Your mom kisses better" Stan laughed. Eddie felt relieved that he wasn't the only one that Richie was going to teeze.
The three walked home. Richie got to his door with butterflies in his stomach. Did he really just kiss Stan? Are Eddie and Stan his boyfriends now? All thoughts to be answered. He stayed up for the next few answers starring at his ceiling with his thoughts racing and his arms around a pillow.
