"Tenho fragmentos de uma vida com você e tantos intervalos só, de longe, mas querendo crer.

They had talked every day during the doctor's stay in Italy after their wedding. Always finding the time to be together even if the tiredness wanted to speak louder. Long-distance sex can be very strange if you're in the middle of your shift at 3 AM. But they still managed. They needed to feel the presence, even if it wasn't physical, of each other. When it was finally time for the doctor to return home and into the arms of her beloved blonde the strangeness was in the air. That day they could hardly speak and the doctor was with a strange feeling that did not let her feel in peace. When arriving at Seatle airport she looked for her wife but to her surprise who was waiting for her was Andy.

Doctor: Where is she, Andy?

Andy: You need to stay calm.

And it was from this moment that she could no longer stay calm. Something had happened to her wife and she was away. The worst thoughts crossed her mind as Andy took her to the hospital. The last time she felt this scared was when her brother was murdered.

The lights of the place were so strong that she refused to open her eyes, but after a while she created the courage and could see an immense amount of people around her. Her mind seemed confused, everyone spoke at the same time. Her mother, Andy, the doctors. She had already understood. She didn't have to look for long to realize where she was. It was a hospital. Now the question that reigned in her head was, why was she in the hospital?

Doctor: Maya?

Maya: Yes, yes?

Doctor: Can you tell me where you are?

Maya: In the hospital.

Doctor: Good! And would you tell me why are you here?

Maya: (closed her eyes for a moment trying to get her brain to give some information, but did not succeed) No. (frustrared)

Doctor: Could you tell me who are the people in this room besides me?

Maya: Obviously. My mother, my best friend... (noticed the brunette woman who played nervously with her ring) another doctor?

Doctor: You don't know her?

Maya: Should I?

Doctor: What's your wife's name?

Maya: (looked at her mother as if asking for support) I am not married, doctor.

Carina: (snitched) Not married? What the hell it's wrong with her, doctor Aquino?

Doctor: Dr. Deluca-Bishop, please! (doctor Deluca- Bishop leaves the room for a while)

Maya: Did I said something wrong?

Doctor: Don't you recognize her?

Maya: (freaking out) No!!

Catherine: I think that's enough, isn't it, doctor? My girl has faced too many things. (hugs her)

Andy: (observing the situation astonishingly) Doctor, why she doesn't remember anything?

Doctor: I'll need to talk to the family...

Andy: But, uh...

Catherine: She is family.

Maya: (sitting on the bed) And Dad?

Catherine: Maya ...

Maya: What's going on? (nervous) Can someone tell me?

Carina: (enters the room again) How long will she need to stay here?

Doctor: I believe that another couple of days and she will already be discharged and you can take her home.

Maya: (surprised) And why would I go to your house? (staring at the brunette who was next to the other doctor)

Andy: You two are married, Maya.

Maya: What? (higher than intended)

Doctor: So much information, Lieutenent Herrera. Let's give Maya some time to understand what's going on, ok? (everybody leaves the room)

By Maya ...

"Suddenly! No more than suddenly..." My last memory is with my brother. We were at the police station. He had been arrested for shoplifting and Ryan Tanner called me because he saw his last name. He didn't want me there. When he realized that I wanted to take him to my house and take care of him he disappeared again. And after this memory everything is a blur. A complete and frightening blur. And there's nothing I can do to change that. A blur who takes me to a wedding that I don't even know how it happened. Well... I know, but I don't know. I know how people usually get married. After all, I went to countless weddings during my life, but it seemed I had missed the most important wedding, mine. And I wanted to remember more than anything. I always saw myself as an allergic person to monogamy, how did I end up married? That didn't make any sense.

Doctor: Maya?

Maya: Yes, doctor Aquino?

Doctor: Can I let Dr. Deluca-Bishop in?

Maya: (took a deep breath) Yes. (the doctor calls Carina and tells her he will leave them for a moment)

Carina: Maya... (relieved to see her well, but still a little frightened by the situation)

Maya: It's Bishop.

Carina: (nodded with a sick feeling in her stomach) How are you feeling?

Maya: I don't know for sure.

Carina: (nodded again)

Maya: Is it true what Andy said? That we're married?

Carina: Yes.

Maya: How did I marry someone I don't know?

Carina: You knew me. We dated for a while and then after a fight... I asked you to marry me and you said yes.

Maya: Um... And how is our home?

Carina: It's your apartment. I just moved there.
