Third Person POV:

The Resistance had survived their battle with the First Order. They were currently speeding towards the lush planet of Earth. They saw three First Class Star destroyers deploying their troops, along with hundreds of Tie fighters, interceptors, and even an imperial command ship.

This greatly confused Leia. She had never seen anything like this since the discovery of Star Killer Base, the First Orders former super weapon which had the fire power to destroy an entire planet. Luckily, they had blown it up. The price however, was almost too much. A lot of fighters, and of course, Han-Solo had died standing for what they believed. Just thinking about it made  Leia sad. The memory re-played through her head:

*Flashback*

Leia had been sitting at the original Resistance base on Tackodona. Poe's voice was ringing through the intercoms, saying they were getting crushed. Leia was about to respond until a mind-message played through her head:

Han was walking out onto a bridge inside of Star Killer Base. He was advancing up to their son, Ben Solo, who is more formally known as Kylo Ren.

"BEN" Han-Solo shouted. Ben stopped in his tracks and turned to face his Father.

"Han solo" he responded, "I've been waiting for this day for a long time."

Han walked forwards. Rey and Finn came in through a double door on the top balcony, over looking the scene.

"Take off that mask, you don't need it." Han responded. He walked closer to his son. The thought and temptation of getting his son back drew him closer.

"What do you think you'll see if I do?"

"The Face of my son."

They stand still and look at each other for a moment before Ben takes off the mask concealing his face.

"Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish like his father. So I destroyed him." Ben said with a bit of annoyance and pride laced into his words.

Han walked closer to his son. " No, that's what Snoke wants you to believe. But it's not true. My son is alive." The look in Han-Solo's eyes made Ben believe this was really true. However, he shook the thoughts out of his head.

"No. The Supreme leader is wise."

"No, Snoke is using you for your power. When he get's what he wants he'll crush you."

Ben and Han-Solo looked at each other, as if to be having a conversation with their eyes.

"You know it's true." Han said. Ben continued to look at his father. He knew it was true. He didn't want to leave. He had so much power it was unimaginable.

"It's too late."  he responded, in an attempt to get Han-Solo off his back.

"No, it's not. Come here with me, come home. We miss you". Ben begins to tear up. He does miss his father and mother, but it's not enough. The Dark side has promised too much, and to leave that would be like leaving a piece of his soul.

" I'm being torn apart", Ben said, obviously conflicted. " I want to be free of this pain. I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it." Ben was crying, as he really was being torn apart. "Will you help me?" He asked his father with pleading eyes.

"Yes anything." Han said, finally thinking he could get his son back.

With a loud 'Clang' Kylo Ren let his mask fall to the floor, and for the first time, the true Ben was showing. He held out his light saber to Han. However, he wouldn't let go. As Han didn't let go, Ben did the unthinkable. He ignited his lightsaber, and impaled his own Father. Han was shocked and he looked that way as the lightsaber went through him. Ben pulled it out and all Han did was hold his hand to his son's face before dropping into the abyss. Kylo Ren had made his decision. Family didn't matter, only power.
