"I'm leaving for New York in a week"
the words trembled out of his mouth. My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach. Knowing that I only had one week left until Alfie left for New York hurt. It was basically my mission to make it the best week. Alfie has been my best friend since I can remember. He always told me about wanting to go and see the real life reindeer at Buckingham palace and I was making sure I gave him his wish.
The next morning I was texting Alfie and we were telling each other what we wanted to do in our last week together. since it was about two weeks away from Christmas I told him that I was going to surprise him. he questioned millions of times and I couldn't help the odd giggle because I knew he hated surprises. I told him to be ready by twelve and then I'll be at his house to pick him up as I was the only one who could currently drive.
