Chapter 21

(Time skip)
I threw up a lot over the past week and I was starting to wonder if I was pregnant, I mean it wouldn't surprise me. I was going out with Zoe and I was going to get a test in town. Zoe had asked me if I was alright as I looked a bit pale. I just said I was fine and then we headed off in my car.
We got into town and roamed various shops when we came across a pharmacy. I went in and payed for the test. Me and Zo went for lunch at McDonalds and I did the test there. I was waiting for it to come back and it came back alright. It came back positive. I walked out of the women's bathroom and talked to Zoe. I told her about my symptoms and she listened like a kid in nursery. I told her I had done a test and it came back positive. She was so happy for me and she insisted I went home and told Alf.
I drove home and sat next to Alf on the sofa. I grabbed his hand and put it on my stomach. "What are you doing?" He asked before kissing me. I broke away and said "I am letting you feel our baby". His eyes welled up and he kissed me and hugged me tight but not to tight.
9 months 3days later
It was finally happening, our baby was being brought into the world. We picked names beforehand 'Macey' for a girl and 'Theo' for a boy. "One last push" the midwife said. I took all the strength in me to push one more time. I had finished pushing and a baby's cry was all I could hear. "And we have a son!" The midwife says in a cheerful tone.
"Theo Deyes" me and Alf said in unison. Our son was here. Alf was here. I had the perfect life, right here, right now.
