After a very, very long day of studying at home, Kiara was sitting in the living area, scrolling through her phone. She didn't go to college as her college was technically over now, just this weekend and after that she was on two weeks of preparatory leave, before her finals, so she didn't had much to do. However, her head was occupied with several thoughts. Thoughts about Michael.

What does he think of himself?! Kiara hissed inside of her head for nth time. He thinks I'm not capable of understanding what he's going through? He thinks that I am not worthy of his trust?

The sole reason, why Kiara left Zach and Emily's apartment yesterday so suddenly and so early was: Michael. She didn't want to see him. At all. She was extremely pissed. She let her guard down for him. She asked him again and again what he was going through and he rejected her. After all the time that they've spent, he could've at least trust her enough to tell at least something, just one small thing. But he just decided to block her out completely.

You are an idiot, that you even asked him. You are a stranger to him anyways! What were you even expecting?! Just a few small conversations here and there, one small silly surprise, and you thought you've earned every bit of his trust. Kiara argued inside of her head. Accused herself. How can he become so close to Emily who has always judged him and not me when I've been there for him? This ain't even fair!

"Kiara Jade Williams!" A stern voice snapped Kiara out of her extremely deep thoughts and made her almost flinch as she was so deep into her thoughts. Kiara was quick to look in the direction to meet her Grandma standing with her hands on her wide hips and a frown upon her wide forehead. "Where in the hell is your head?!" She scolded Kiara as she walked towards her and got settled besides her on the couch.

Kiara blinked and then she looked away. "I'm sorry. I didn't hear."

"You sure as hell didn't! Where is your head today?" Grandma asked again. Kiara chewed on her lip as she closed her eyes briefly. "Yes? Spit it out!" Grandma commanded with raised brows. Kiara groaned as she clicked her tongue.

"It's nothing!" Kiara lied.

"Hmm. You still think you can lie to me?" Grandma said slapping Kiara's head, receiving a look from her. She then studied Kiara for a while. "Hesitation isn't one of your traits." Grandma said. She then studied her granddaughter further and then sighed heavily. "You have a crush and you didn't even tell me." Grandma said in a disappointed tone as she shook her head. Kiara's eyes grew larger than life as she looked at her Grandma sharply.

"I don't!" Kiara squeaked. She didn't had any crush. Where is Grams even getting this idea from?! Kiara thought to herself.

Grandma narrowed her eyes as she looked at Kiara from above the frame of her glasses which were resting on her small, rounded nose. "Stop with this! If this ain't related to a boy imma leave cooking!" Kiara rolled her eyes as she huffed and leaned against the back of the couch with her arms crossed upon her chest.

"He is an ass!" Kiara mumbled.

"There you go." Grandma said chuckling. "Spit it all out, c'mon."

Kiara thought it was of no use arguing with her Grandma and so she started to speak as if she was a tape recorder at play. Kiara told each and everything about Michael and how he was, but she just kept one thing from her: Whatever Janet had told her about music and him.

"He just keeps everything to himself. And you know I don't reach out to anyone but I reached out to him. I told him that I was there to listen but he straight on said I won't understand him." The frustration, rage and hurt in Kiara's voice made Grandma smile. "What you smilin' at?!" Kiara whined as she looked at her Grandma.
