CHAPTER:29 || NeverLand

The evening sky was dimming into darkness when Michael found himself sitting in his car, heading towards Katherine Jackson's studio to finally meet her after five months. He had no words to describe how much he had missed his mother during these terrible, long months. He's always been extremely close to his mother and not being able to see her was so hard for him.

After almost a thirty minutes ride from his workplace, he found his car stopping in front of a beautiful, fancy building that had his mother's brand name: Kate J. It was her name written in a creative manner on her two floored studio building.

Michael sighed heavily as his heart picked up just a bit. He hadn't seen his mother in months and he hadn't talked to her in weeks either. He was excited and afraid at the same time. He then exited his car and made his way inside the building and as per the information he had gathered, his mother's work room was at the second floor. He kept making his way towards the room and finally he saw two glass doors on which his mother's name was written.

He took in a breath and held the handles of the doors and pushed them open and his eyes immediately met with the short lady standing at a distance from him, with her back facing him as she was setting a certain piece of outfit on a mannequin.

"Mother," Michael's soft voice called, making her freeze in her actions and she immediately turned around to finally look at her son whom she'd dearly missed. A smile full of relief formed upon Katherine Jackson's lips as she let out a small breath of utter relief and got filled with absolute peace and happiness. She simply raised her arms, gesturing her son to come for an embrace and within a heartbeat he made his way towards his mother and hugged her tight.

"You're alright." Katherine said in a soft, relief filled voice as she kept embracing her son. Michael closed his eyes as he let out a small breath as he got filled with warmth. Katherine then pulled away and looked at her son with a soft smile and an overwhelmed expression as she held his shoulders. "You're alright and you're here. That's all that matters." She said again before they both reached the couch and got settled.

"I can only thank those amazing people who let you live with them and made sure you were safe." Katherine said and Michael smiled, nodding.

"Yeah, they are such amazing people." Michael then sighed and held his mother's hands. "Mother, I was fine before and I am fine now. I couldn't have let you people... kill me." Michael admitted and Katherine's heart trembled at his words as she frowned. "I had to go away, from everything and everyone. And I'm fine now. I am back at work. I bought this beautiful property in Los Olivos where I live now."

"Los Olivos?" Katherine said all confused. "Why are you living in Los Olivos? You are having a beautiful home in Vegas where you were supposed to live with your fiancée."

Michael winced at her words and clenched his jaws as he got filled with uneasiness. "I don't live in that Vegas house anymore." Michael told his mother.

"What do you mean by that? You were supposed to live there after getting married to Violet. You both love that house." Katherine said and Michael frowned, filling with more uneasiness. Katherine sighed as Michael didn't say anything. "Honey, what's going on? We all saw that interview of yours. What's with shutting down your and Violet's company? It was your dream to run that company for Violet. It was your dream to get married to her and live in that Vegas house. What's going on?"

Michael closed his eyes briefly and took in a small breath. "I'm not in love with Violet. I'm not engaged to her anymore." Michael told his mother who let out a weak gasp of disbelief, placing a hand over her chest.

"You do realize and remember how you turned all the hells over just to be with Violet! And now out of nowhere you are not in love with her?! You're not engaged?!" Katherine exclaimed.
