Rumours about the paternity of Lady Leanne Dayne surrounded her from the moment her mother announced that she was with child. Rumours that Lady Ashara Dayne never cared to hear, accept or deny. But one thing was certain, all that saw Leanne Dayne, whether as a babe, a child, or aa young girl could only claim that Leanne was a star that fell from the skies as a gift from the Gods.
.And this was because on the night that Leanne Dayne was born in King's Landing, in the eighth month of the year 282, a shower of falling stars filled the night, starting when Ashara went into labour as nightfall and ending in the las minutes of the hour of the wolf.
A common rumour was that her mother had wished the gods for a child and that a thousand stars fell from the sky to grant Lady Ashara Dayne her wish.
Rumours about that Leanne's father was a Stark only grew stronger when they heard the name of the child, almost sounding like the name of the She-Wolf from the North that Prince Rhaegar kidnapped, Lady Lyanna Stark.
One thing about Leanne Dayne was known for certain, she'd been conceived during the Tourney of Harrenhall, in the 11th month of the Year of the False Spring, the Year 281 AC, undoubtedly the result of a dishonor that Ashara suffered sometime during those 10 days. And given how she sought comfort in one of the three Starks present, which one is the question for the Gods, but many suspect Lord Eddard Stark, giving birth to the rumours.
Ashara had not taken moon tea for the dishonor brought upon her, as the Mad King Aerys II had decided that whatever sex the babe was born with, they would be placed as either Princess Rhaenys' lady-in-waiting, or Prince Aegon's squire.
Leanne lived in King's Landing for the first year of her life before being sent to Starfall by Princess Elia, alongside her mother, after the Battle of the Trident, where she stayed until Lord Eddard Stark arrived two months later, on the tenth month to deliver the Dayne's House sword, Dawn.
Unfortunately, Lady Ashara Dayne jumped into the Summer Sea, on the Last month of the year, long after Eddard Stark delivered Dawn back to their rightful owners and left with a wagon, leaving her Leanne in the care of her sister.
