"Good morning, class."  Natsu walked into the room and put his bag on his desk.  He glanced up at the class, his eyes doing a quick sweep, lingering slightly too long on me.  I quickly flicked my eyes down at my textbook.

"Are you alright, sir?"  Someone called out.

"What?  Oh, yes.  I am."  Natsu sat at his computer, "Let's do the register."  He started reading out names and I didn't miss his hesitation on my name or the way his jaw tightened as he said it.  I tried not to think about it, but it was hard not to.

"Before we start, I have an announcement to make,"  He said, standing up,  "This is my last week at this school.  My replacement will be coming in tomorrow to make sure that things continue smoothly from this point on."

"Why are you leaving sir?"

"Things are a bit hard for me here right now and I want to move away from it.  Something in my personal life.  Is that all?"  He asked.  The class murmured their agreement.

"Ok then.  Let's start."  I opened my book and stared absentmindedly at the board.  It was my fault he was leaving.  I was the reason.  Why did I break up with him?  We could have made it work.  But when I looked around me at the classroom, the students and everything else, I remembered why.  And why I had to.

"Hey, you ok?"  Levy whispered.  She reached under the table and squeezed my hand quickly.

"Yeah, I will be."  I smiled, weakly.

"Did you know about him leaving?"  She asked.

"No."  I could feel tears welling up,  "I didn't."  Levy tightened her grip on my hand and I smiled.

"Do you want to stay over at my house tonight?  We can get cake and watch chick flicks?"  She suggested.  I glanced up at Natsu, who was writing on the board with his back to us.

"That sounds great.  You're the best."

~

"Hey, Heartfilia."  Gray snaked his arm around my shoulder,  "Party at my house, you coming?"

"I don't think so."  I pushed him off.

"Come on, you've been down in the dumps since this morning,"  He urged.  "Getting pissed and having a good time might cheer you up."

"Gray..."  I warned.  He threw his hands up in the air.

"Fine, Heartfilia, just think about it, ok?"  Gray walked over to Juvia and slung his arm over her shoulders.  She blushed, looking like she was about to faint from happiness.

"You ready to go?"  Levy asked.

"Yeah."  I glanced over at Gray and Juvia.

"You want to go to Gray's house party, don't you?"  She sighed.

"No, let's go around to your house."

"Lucy."  Levy gave me a pointed look,  "Let's go get drunk and then we can come back to my house and do whatever."

"Alright then."

~

I sat on the steps in front of Gray's house, staring absentmindedly at the road.

"Hey, Lulu,"  Levy slurred.  God she was fucked, she only called me Lulu when she'd had too much to drink.

"I'm sad because you're sad."  She dropped next to me.

"I'm not sad,"  I said.

"You are.  I can tell, because I'm your best friend."  Levy glanced up and squeaked.  I winced and looked where her gaze was.  Gajeel was standing off to one side of the room, his arms crossed, with a random girl coming on to him.  I smiled.

"Go on, then."  Levy stood up and half ran, half stumbled over to where Gajeel was.  I watched as she pushed the girl away gently and grabbed Gajeel, bringing his head down to kiss her.  I could hear Gajeels faint 'Levy what the fuck' before she silenced him.  I turned my attention back to the road, sipping my drink every now and then.  The last time I got drunk I was with Natsu.  It reminded me of him.

"I'm going to take her home.  Need a lift?"  Gajeel broke through my thoughts,  "She's completely gone."  Levy had wrapped herself around his arm and kept leaning up on her tip-toes to try to kiss him.

"Lucy's staying at my house,"  Levy giggled,  "We're gonna have girly talk about you and-"

"Yes I'd love a lift!"  I interrupted Levy before she blurted anything out.  Gajeel was nice, but I wasn't sure I fully trusted him.

"Let's go."  Levy half fell forward, only managing to stay upright because of her grip on Gajeel.  Gajeel took us to his car and prised Levy off him.  She shook her head and clung onto him, refusing to move.  I sighed and got into back seat.

"Levy, come here,"  I held open my arms for her and immediately she dove towards me, letting out a small 'yay'.  Gajeel smiled at Levy.

"I love you, Lucy.  You're my best friend."  Levy slurred.

"I know, I know."

"Levy, are your parents at home?" I asked. She nodded groggily. Oh shit.

"I think we should go to my flat. You know how your parents can get." I suggested.  Levy let out a gasp.

"They might kill me..."  She said.  I could hear her breathing start to get quicker and I could tell a classic drunk Levy panic attack was about to happen.

"Hey, Gajeel, can you go to my flat?"  I gave him the address.

"Yeah, sure."

~

"Oh yeah, there you go,"  I held Levy's hair back as she threw up in the toilet,  "You stay here and I'll get you some water."  I pulled her hair back into a ponytail before making my way into the kitchen.  I felt s strange sense of deja vu, but remembered that this was basically what happened that night when I drunk called Natsu.

"Lucy!"  Levy called out,  "Where's Gajeel?"

"He went home, Levy,"  I said, coming back through.  "Remember?  He dropped us off here then left."  Levy took the glass of water.

"I'm tired. I want to talk to Gajeel, can I talk to Gajeel, please?"  She asked between sips.

"Let's get you into some pyjamas, then we can call him, how does that sound?"  I suggested.  "I'll go sort something out, you stay here and finish your water and be sick again if you need to."  I went through to my bedroom and put a towel and a bowl out for Levy to be sick in, as well as pulling out a pair of pyjamas for her.

"Ok, put these on."  I handed them over.

"Ok!  They're on.  I want to talk to Gajeel."  Levy crawled into my bed.

"Alright."  I called him and handed the phone over to Levy.  Immediately she became happier and I sighed.  I couldn't help being jealous.

Wow, it's been a while.  Very sorry, I didn't realise how much time had passed since I last uploaded.  Not much has happened since I posted last.  I finished my first year of uni and dyed my hair pink.  That's it.
