"Milan, come back. Please." Ace begged. She turned around, seeing the anxious look on his face.
" I can't lose you. I can't...I need you."
"Are you sure about that? Cause it looks clear to me what you really want in life. And it doesn't include m...
" Hey honey...what are you doing home so early? I thought you had to go into the office today?"
" No. Mel is taking care of all that today. Hell, I'm glad she is"
" You want some of this tea I'm making?"
"Is it sweet?"
" You know it!"
"Hm, I'm just making sure because I know how you like them unsweet... so it can help with your diet..." I joke with her.
I loved coming over to Aunt Tee's place. Any chance I had to, I'd make my way over to her quick, fast, and in a hurry. I could always talk to her, and she always gives me the best advice. She's like that cool ass auntie that doesn't trip and vibes with everyone no matter how you look or how old you were.

I used to stay with her back when times got really tough with my parents during high school. I couldn't handle them most times, especially with their strict and old school ass tactics. Their expectation of me was to be exactly like they envisioned, and that was to go to the college that had fully payed for and chose, and then become lawyer or doctor, but I wasn't down for all that.
Now, the only time I ever see them is if it's a holiday, or if they're trying to impress their "fellow white peers" to make themselves look good. I always hated doing that, but Aunt Tee always pushed me to go and attend. The only good that came with that was seeing my brothers.
" So how you been holdin' up?"
" I'm okay for the most part...it's just I've been working heavy for this past few weeks, especially at the club..."
" Girl, you need to leave that job alone. You don't need it now....you doing big things with this business you got with Mel..."
" money's been moving kind of slow with that...this part time bartender thing has been keeping me up right now.."
" I bet the business would be moving so much faster if you were there to help Mel though....I remember you telling me how much you were getting when you first join her. You can't tell me that that business money ain't been holding you down...."she says.
She was right too.
When Mel offered me to be the co-owner of the clothing business she had started, the amount of money she was gaining was pretty good. But when we decided to start selling beauty products along with the clothing, money came better than ever.
