Song : Rita Ora - Only Want You

Lundy Drews

"Oh my god. She's here." I pretend to look pale as if I saw a ghost.

"Really? Where?" His eyes widens and turns his head side to side, searching for Kelly.

I laugh at his reaction and he scowls at me. "You should have seen your face!" I say in between laughs.

"Not funny, Lundy Drews. That wasn't a nice thing to do." Okay. He's really angry.

I dig my fingernails into my thighs and try to stop laughing. I clear my throat and question him. "What have you been doing?"

"I have been writing songs for my second album. You?" He sounds confident. I'm proud of him. He was a nervous kid when he first auditioned for the X-factor. I saw him on TV and fell in love with him ever since then. He leans against the chair and waits for my answer.

"Well.... I've been going on dates lately. My mom. She thinks...th-. She chooses the best guys she sees and matches up with me." I blush and shut my mouth. Why am I telling him these things? The dates ended last year. Zayn's happy face falls but he quickly plaster his charming smile and twinkling eyes back.

I was heartbroken when Zayn moved to New York. I cried for days. My mother thought I went nuts and she didn't really get the reason why I was so upset. She said that he was just a friend and that he would come to see me but I knew she was just confronting me. So, she set me up with her friends' sons so that I could replace and forget Zayn faster.

I hate going on dates. I don't like wasting my time trying to find another Zayn. I don't like wearing dresses to impress the guy I'm meeting. I don't tell these things to my mother though. I don't want to upset her. Like all mothers, she does what she thinks is the best for me. But no. He's unforgettable.

"Wow. I'm....really glad to hear that. Who's the lucky guy?" Zayn draws circles on his lap as his eyes bore right into mine.

I furrow my eyebrows as I calculate the number of guys I had met.

David, the waiter from 'the pink shades' restaurant, looks just like Zayn but he has too many ex girlfriends. Hunter, the guy who lives across the street, has Zayn's personality but he's half an inch shorter than me. There was also Kelvin who works at seven eleven. He has a voice like Zayn but he never takes things seriously. So, three. There are three altogether.

"There are actually three in total. David, Hunter and Kelvin." I reply after thinking thoroughly.

"Which one do you like best?" Zayn leans closer and narrows his eyebrows.

"I don't really know. They're all special in different ways." Wait. What? I mentally slap myself as Zayn stops questioning and I look down at my hands.

I look up at him and change the subject, "You said you went to Bradford. Why?" He doesn't go back home unless there's a family gathering or special events.

"Well.....Kelly's name slipped out a while ago at a family dinner and I had to tell them about us." He scratches his neck again and shrugs his shoulders.

"Ouch. That hurts." I reply teasingly, knowing that his family wouldn't like her.

There isn't any blood feud or hatred that is passed through generation. It's just that Kelly isn't the girl his family is looking for.

His parents prefer lady shoes to high heels. Kelly likes short skirts rather than boring long black pants. His family members want him to be with a feminine and prim lady who put their son's needs before hers.
