Kokichi's POVI woke up, it was finally Monday, since the weekend went by so quickly. I tried to hang out with Shuichi but, I don't think he likes me. After I got dressed I walked out of my house, living alone with my pet cat. I took a bus to school that took about 10 minutes at least. As I entered the school gates I looked around, seeing some familiar faces. I guess the classroom I'm in everyone is close to eachother, well, is Shuichi usually alone? I felt a tap on my shoulder and I jumped, turning around quickly to see a tall green-haired boy. "Oh, my bad, you're the new kid right? I'm Rantaro Amami, don't worry I'm no bad guy." His voice was calm, and I felt safe with him. "Y-Yeah, I'm new here, I'm Kokichi Oma, n-nice to meet you!" He nodded and we shook hands as a greeting. He looked behind himself then leaned closer to my face. "If I where you, I'd stay clear from Kaito. He sees you as a lesser being, so be prepared to defend yourself against him." After he said that he smiled and walked off immediately. ... W-Wait! Lesser being..? This isn't good, I moved here to avoid bullies, not to be bullied again!! I groaned, seeing Shuichi walk past me. I was going to reach for him until-

C-Class already? Shuichi dissapeared from my sight and I sighed. He said he's fine being my friend, but he doesn't act like one at all.. I sat infront of him and let my mind wander.. Is what I would've done if a spitball didn't hit the side of my head. It was small and didn't really hurt, but once I realized it was stuck in my hair was when I heard laughing. I turned to face whoever was, realizing it was the tall spiky hair boy. I shriveled back into my seat, knowing it was likely that was Kaito. I finally picked the spitball out of my hair and dropped in on the ground, disgusted at the saliva that was now on my hand. How unlucky I am..

Lunch! I turned around and placed my bento on Shuichi's table, shocking him a bit. "S-Sorry! That was.. My fault.." I looked down at my bento embarrassed, until I felt a finger on my forehead pushing my head up. "No need to say that, I should be paying attention!" Shuichi said with a smile. I kinda liked his smile, it felt genuine. We continued eating our lunch, slowly but surely starting a small conversation in between. "S-So.. Do you have any friends other then me?" I asked, not realizing it was probably really rude. He shook his head no and continued eating. That explains why he's so distant, but I wish he wasn't so cold to me. He looked up at me and said, "And I'm guessing you're used to being bullied by how you retreated when Kaito shot a spitball at you." ... Why was that so detailed?! I looked at him shocked, but slowly nodded. He scoffed and we ate silently.

"A-Already? It seems like time really flies, huh?" I said with a smile. Well, more of an awkward smile. Shuichi mumbled in agreement and I turned to face foward. I noticed a paper on my desk and I picked it up to read it.
Oh..
My hands where shaking as I finished reading, another threat. I got these all the time in my other school, so I know I'll be beaten up in the end anyways. I kept my tears and cries inside as I crumbled the paper, seeing in the corner of my eye a grin on Kaito's face. I groaned as the class started, not wanting it to ever end. I wanted time to stop. I've always thought this when I knew I was going to be bullied afterschool. I know thinking won't do anything, but damn I wish it did..

A-Already?! No no no, I'm not ready! He said to meet on the rooftop.. Oh no. What do I do?! I looked around frantically to see that everyone already left. Well, apart from- "Are you alright, Kokichi?" Shuichi was looking at me with his golden eyes, concern but.. An unknown emotion mixed in as well. I started sobbing as I grabbed onto his shirt, an audible gasp coming from him. I barely mustered out any words, "I-I-I don't wanna b-be hurt again..! N-no more b-b-bullying!!" I buried my face into his shirt, not realizing his started patting my back. After a few minutes of my horrible sobbing i stood up straight and wiped away my tears, I looked at his face and all I saw was shock, confusion, and.. Anger? "Who said they where going to hurt you?" I looked up at him and said Kaito, and he looked very offended. "Kokichi, you go home, I'll deal with him, okay?" I looked at him scared, but after a bit of convincing I went home. I was relaxing for a few hours until I got a text from an unknown number. It had a linked video and I unknowingly clicked it..
"N-no way..!"
The video was on the rooftop, Kaito and Shuichi where packing punches all over the place, and Shuichi managed to win overall. Why..? D-Did her fight Kaito for me? W-Wait who sent me this?! I quickly started texting the unknown number.
KO: Who are you? Why did you send this to me?
???: Oh, my apologies. This is Rantaro, I kinda sorta found your number on the sidewalk when I was walking home, so I thought it'd be easier to send you the video!
KO: Oh, I don't understand your reason but thank you?
Rantaro found my number? Did Shuichi accidentally drop the paper when he was going to school this morning? H-He didn't memorize my number, did he?! I put my arm over my eyes as I layed on my bed, slowly drifting to a sleep filled with all the worries running through my head.
