"Hi, Sohye!" Mingyu greeted the girl as she entered the hospital room.

"Hi, baby," Sohye smiled as she walked over to him.

She sat down on the bed next to him. He had a huge smile on his face- the same smile she fell for when she first met him. Sohye spent most of her free days in the hospital with Mingyu. He was getting treatment for his cancer, and the doctors wanted him to stay in the hospital instead of making trips back and forth.

The spent most of their day talking and playing games, but mainly talking. They would shower each other in kisses if they didn't talk, which Sohye didn't mind. Despite his situation, Sohye was happy to be spending more time with Mingyu. She felt as if they lost a lot of time when he was busy with work, and now she got to make up that time with him.

Whenever Mingyu had treatment, Sohye would work from the hospital. At first, her employers were irritated by her decision, but after they came to know her situation, they told her to work from home until Mingyu got better, but Mingyu told Sohye that she shouldn't worry so much about him and that he would get better. As much as Sohye didn't want to leave Mingyu's side, he convinced her to go and work.

When Sohye was gone at work, Mingyu exposed his true self. He was not getting better. He was coughing constantly, and his eyes were bloodshot. Breathing was hard for him. The doctors told him to stay on the ventilator, but Mingyu didn't want to show that to Sohye. He wanted to look as if he were getting better for her. When Sohye would come into the room, Mingyu would suppress his pain as much as he could. It ended up hurting him later, but Sohye getting sad made all of the pain even worse.

"Do you know what I miss?" Mingyu said one night.

Sohye was laying on the bed next to Mingyu, her head resting on his chest. She looked up at him with a quizzical look. Mingyu looked down at her face with a small smile.

"I miss when we first started dating. We went out all the time, and I loved learning more about you," Mingyu chuckled. "You were such an amazing human being to me, and you still are now."

Mingyu gave Sohye a kiss on her forehead. Sohye smiled and sat up. She ran her fingers through Mingyu's hair.

"You are the most amazing human being, Kim Mingyu. You became a successful model, and you fight all of the obstacles in your way. I love you," Sohye told him.

Mingyu smiled. Within seconds, he fell asleep. Sohye got out of his bed carefully and laid down on the sofa in his room. She stared at him sleeping peacefully, the beeping of the machines in the room slowly fading out as she too fell asleep. The next morning, she left to go to work. She was at work when she got a call from Mingyu's manager.

"Sohye, Mingyu's gotten worse. You need to get to the hospital immediately."
