Sohye got to the hospital as soon as she could and ran into Mingyu's room to see him gasping for air as doctors scrambled around him. She walked over to him and squeezed herself into the pack of doctors. She knelt on the ground and held Mingyu's hand while her other hand rubbed Mingyu's arm.

"Mingyu, relax. If you panic, then it'll be harder to breathe," Sohye said softly.

Mingyu blinked at Sohye before Sohye felt his arm loosen up a bit. His heart rate was slowly starting to return to normal, and he was breathing. The doctors put him on a ventilator before leaving the room. They explained to the manager what had happened, and Mingyu's manager had to come and tell Sohye.

"Sohye, can we talk outside for a second?" Mingyu's manager asked.

Sohye nodded and stood up. She kissed the top of Mingyu's head and told him, "I'll be right back. I love you," before following Mingyu's manager out of the room.

Mingyu's manager looked anxious as Sohye closed the door behind her. They were biting their nails and looked around nervously before turning to Sohye.

"Mingyu's getting worse," they said in a hushed voice. "The doctors said that he doesn't have much longer. Mingyu cannot know about this, but I thought you should know so that you can plan accordingly."

"Are you serious?" Sohye was on the verge of tears. "Do you know how much longer he has?"

"Less than four months. He could die today, though. The doctors don't know when he'll pass, but as I said, he doesn't have much more time," his manager started crying.

Sohye consoled the manager, only to start crying herself. The two hugged each other as they cried about the person they were both going to lose. Sohye just couldn't believe it. How could Mingyu get worse? He was going through the treatment, so why wasn't it working?

Sohye and Mingyu's manager calmed down and situated themselves before they went into the room again. Mingyu eyed them as they walked in. For one thing, the two of them were out in the hall for a suspicious amount of time, and they both looked awkward as hell when they entered the room.

"What's going on?" Mingyu was barely able to ask.

The two looked at each other with the same expression before turning back to Mingyu. Mingyu's eyes widened. He turned to Sohye and exclaimed, "Are you cheating on me with my manager?"

Mingyu's manager choked, and Sohye shook her head rapidly. "No! I'm not!"

"Then why were you out in the hall for so long?" Mingyu complained.

"I had to go to the bathroom, but I couldn't find where it was, so your manager offered to help me," Sohye managed to come up with this lame excuse on the spot.

"There's a bathroom in here," Mingyu tried to point at the bathroom in his room, but he winced.

Sohye immediately ran to his side and rubbed his shoulder. Mingyu sighed and leaned back into the pillow behind him. A tear trailed down his eye, but Sohye knew he wasn't crying. He was just tired. His eyes tended to water up anytime he needed to sleep. Sohye carefully sat down next to Mingyu and brought his head to her shoulder. She kissed the top of his head and said, "Get some rest, Mingyu. You've had a long day."

"I... want to talk... to you..." Mingyu sighed out before passing out.

Sohye stayed with Mingyu the whole night. She may have been uncomfortable in the awkward position she was sitting in, but Mingyu's comfort meant more to her than her own comfort, so she dealt with it. She didn't know how much longer she had with him, anyway.
