30/09/2017 1:42AMThey walked into the first travel lodge they passed and walked straight up to the front desk. Harry could feel his eyes drooping and knew he was tired, although he had enjoyed spending time with Summer. He could see she was tired but yet she still remained beautiful and he wasn't sure how she done it, he slowly found himself becoming fond of the blonde model.
"Hello, how can I help?" The older woman asked at the front desk.
"Hi," Harry began, "Can you tell us how far away New York is from here?"
"About an hour, not far at all dear." She pointed at the road they had travelled down, "Just go down there and you'll enter the city."
"We've basically gone in circles, Harry," Summer yawned.
"We should get a room, I'm too tired to drive another mile." Harry mumbled, "A room for us please."
The little old woman nodded as she grabbed a key and Harry signed some forms. She passed him the key and he smiled warmly at her before thanking her.
"You two are cute together." She commented.
"Oh we're not-" Harry went to correct the woman before Summer stood on his foot.
"Thank you," she smiled, "Although his morning breath is terrible, it's a wonder I'm still with him."
"You've never smelt my-" she stood on his foot again
"It drives me crazy when he wears the same boxers the next day too, nothing worse." Summer sighed.
"Sorry dear." Harry mumbled, narrowing his eyes at her as she removed her foot from his.
"Ah young love, such a thing, such a thing."
Harry said good bye as he led Summer to their room, as they entered he saw there was only a double bed. Summer flopped onto it and Harry stood at the door.
"I should ask her for another room." He mumbled.
"Harry go to bed," Summer sighed.
He shook his head, "I'm not sleeping on the floor and I don't mix business with pleasure."
Summer sat up, "Harry, are we friends?"
"Well yes, of course but-"
"Then think of it as a slumber party between two friends, not two people that work together," she grabbed two pillows and placed it between her side of the bed and his, "Look, it's like were not even sharing the same bed, see?"
Harry rolled his eyes and turned out the lights before he flopped onto the bed. He felt his eyes closing before Summer let out a sigh.
"Harry?"
"Yes?"
"Can I come to work with you tomorrow? See what the normal day is like for you?"
"I suppose, just steer clear from Luke, he tries it on with anyone and anything."
"Sounds like a Luke I know."
"I think it's the aussie in him."
Summer hummed, "You're probably right."
Then the two fell asleep in the dark, separated by two pillows. Harry dreamt of being back at home, having Aryn in his arms and Summer dreamt of being in Harry's arms, her problems all beginning.
