My knees buckled and I collapsed. My stomach was burning, I reeked because I hadn't showered for days, and my clothes were practically falling of if my boney frame.

"Up." He said.

"What was that for." I asked bent over rocking in place.

"For being a Murphy." He said smuggly almost enjoying my pain. What did this strange man have against my family? Money, jealousy?

I slowly got to my feet.

"Over here." Isaac said. Istood up and looked around the filthy kitchen then entered the living room at his request. I walked over a sat down on an old leather couch that was wearing down.

"Who are you?" I say bring my knees to my chest not wanting another blow to my stomach.

"You know who I am." He said.

"No.." I responding lying.

"Well then let me refresh your memory, I was your fathers wealthy assistant, earning money, having a wife, beautiful house. But your father fired me, does the name Isaac wring a bell?" He asked figgiting with anger. I shake my head not making eye contact.

"Oh come on Ellis. Your a smart girl just try." He smile slowly fading into his wrinkles.

"Noo! Just let me go I won't tell anyone." I cry falling to the floor.

"I've heard that before." He said smiling wickedly. I lift my head catching a glimpse of him through my messy blonde hair.

"What, you think I'm a rookie?" He asked. I stand on my feet and look at him bewildered. I lift my hand and smack his old lousy face with I soon regreted. He grabbed my arms and fiery walked me to the basement door. He opened it and threw me down the stairs.

I tumbled down hitting my head several times and finally landed sprawled across the floor on my stomach. I then curled up in a ball and soaked my shirt with salty tears. I landed their for hours on the cold cement floor until I finally drifted off to sleep, I drifted off to my escape
