Chapter Seventeen

I wake up to hear a phone ringing. I open my eyes and Alex is lifting up the pillow to get his phone. Well I'm presuming it was his phone ringing since that isn't my ringtone.

"Hello?.. Oh, really?... Okay.... Uh huh... I'll be there later.. Okay, bye mum."

"What did your mum want?"

He seemed to have jumped a bit. I'm guessing he didn't realise I was awake. "Oh, apparently my dad wants to see me."

"Are you going to see him?"

"Yeah, I am."

"Good. I think you should."

"I'll be going later. You can come if you want."

"Okay."

"I suggest you get some sleep."

"Hm, I agree." I say, mumbling into my pillow. I soon fall back asleep.

"Oh my gosh Abi, will you hurry up? How long does it take to put on your shoes?"

"The laces keep on going wrong." I say, looking up at him. I pout at him. He laughed. He kneeled down and tie up my shoes for me. "Thank you." I say, grinning.

"You're welcome. Now come on, lets go." We head out the door and head to the hospital. We ask where his dads room is- even though I know. I didn't want him knowing I came here last night. We go to his dads room and he's just sitting up watching tv. There was no sign of Alex's mum.

"Hi son." I looked at Alex. He seemed a bit shocked but pulled himself together.

"Hi.. Dad."

"I want to say I'm sorry."

"Okay?"

"I didn't mean to make you feel as if I didn't love you. I do. You're my only child and I love you a lot. You just changed and I couldn't cope with your change and I just shunned you basically."

"I know."

"Im sorry." Alex looked at his dad. Then to me. Then back to his dad. He seemed unsure yet I could see he was slightly happy.

"I forgive you." I smiled. Fabulous, this is what I wanted. I wanted them to re-bond.

"Thank you."

"How are you feeling? Do you need anything?"

"I'm fine, Alex. I don't need anything."

"Where's mum? Shouldn't she be here?"

"She's gone to get some food for herself. She doesn't like the hospital food and I don't blame her to be honest. It's horrible."

"I know." I stood back, watching them reunite. It was nice.. But it was awkward a bit between them. "I have something to tell you, and mum. When will she be back?"

"Soon I believe."

"Good." They make small talk whilst we wait for Alex's mum. I watch the tv as I was slightly bored. I was mainly here to support Alex. Not that he needed it. Soon enough, his mum comes in with food. McDonalds. Awesome.

"Oh, I didn't realise you'd be here now. Luckily I bought a share box of nuggets." She says happily.

"Mum, me and Abi have something to tell you guys." He comes next to me and grabs my hand. I guess we're doing it like in the books and movies.

"Go on..?" His mum says, extremely confused.

"We're engaged.. Since Christmas."

"What? Eight months ago? You didn't think to tell us?" His mum says, confused.

"Yes, and I don't know."

"Well congratulations again." His dad says.

"Again? This is the first time I'm- we're telling you."

"Oh, Abigail came last night.. Oh." He said, as he saw my face. "Right. Well you best thank that lovely fiancée of yours. Without her, I wouldn't have come around to talking to you."

I looked at Alex. He seemed confused. I decided I should clear things. "When you went to bed I went to see your dad to have a word with him. I saw how upset you were and it upset me.. So I had to do something.."

"I love you so much." He pulled me into a hug.

"I love you too."

"Well, we have to go guys. We have to be somewhere." Alex says. We have to be somewhere? Since when? Before I could say anything, he was dragging me out. I managed to say a quick goodbye to his parents and we got into the car.

"What plans? Where do we have to be?"

"At home."

"What? Why?"

"Well.." He winked.

"Ohhhh. I'm guessing you're in the mood then."

"Mhmm. I want to make love to you." He said extremely confident.

"Okay, well okay. Guessing you're horny then."

"Mhmm."

"Okay, well just drive home then."

"Oh believe me, I am."

"Don't run any red lights."

"Fine."

"You joker."

"Yep."

Uh yeah sorry this is short like it's kindaaaaa a filler :)

But yeah. Like is it two or three updates in a day? Baboosh. ;D

Anywho.. As you can see I attached a video. It is the Sainsbury's Christmas ad. Basically, I don't know why but this is one of my favourite ads. It means something to me but I have no idea why because as far as I'm concerned.. None of my family has fought in the war. But anywho, this ad means a lot because it's so touching. If you don't know what it's about, basically it's WW1 I believe and they were told the war would be finished by Christmas but it wasn't. So all the soldiers stopped the war on Christmas Day even though their officers or whatever told them not to and that they would get in trouble. But they stopped and called a truce for Christmas Day. Do you know what they did? Exactly what they did in the ad. They stopped and played football together. I don't know why but it's just so touching. Well sorry about this rant. But yeah(:
