Chapter Fourteen

I'm engaged. Like holy fudge balls! Wait.. I have to tell my dad. How would he react? Or how would Tony react?

Ah who cares, I'm engaged!

"Merry Christmas, babe."

"That was my Christmas present?"

"Of course."

"Best Christmas present ever!"

"Knew you'd love it. Now, I think we should go home. It's kind of freezing out here and it's starting to snow more and more."

"Wow, it is as well." We quickly get into the car and drive home. It's lucky there wasn't much traffic.

"Hey guys, good evening?" My dad asked.

I grinned widely. "Brilliant!"

"Yeah, it went fantastic." Alex said. Wait.. Did my dad know about this? It seems like he did. Hmmm.

"Good, so my little princess is getting married then?" He did know!

"Yep!" I show him the ring and he just looks at me, with tears of happiness. "How did you know though?"

"Alex asked for my blessing basically."

"Oh, that's sweet of you." I pinch Alex's cheeks and he just rolls his eyes.

"Well, I'm taking Tony out to spend some father-son time."

"This late?"

"Yep."

"What are you guys doing?"

"We're watching a movie."

"Oh, okay."

"Now you guys, don't do anything... Uh, well bad. No parties."

"Alright. I think I've had enough of parties anyway."

"Alright well I'll see you both later. Tony! You ready?"

"One sec dad!"

Tony soon comes downstairs and they head out. I sit on the couch and switch on the tv. Dam it's cold. I think a hot chocolate would be great.

"Want a hot chocolate?" I ask Alex.

"Yeah sure." I go into the kitchen and put the kettle on. While I'm waiting for it to boil I admire the ring. The ring. I'm engaged. Oh my God. It's like a dream.

I make the hot chocolate and bring it to him. I sit down beside him and cuddle up next to him. "So, I say we get married tomorrow." I say, jokingly.

"Tomorrow?" He said, fairly shocked.

"I'm kidding. It'd take ages to sort out an awesome wedding."

"I agree. We're going to have the best wedding ever. Like, the best in history."

"Course we will! We're awesome people."

"Damn right we are." He starts switching through the channels. "So, how many kids do you want?" I almost choked on my hot chocolate. Kids?!

"What?"

"How many kids do you want?"

"I heard you.. But kids? Why are you asking?"

"Well, I don't know. Just wondering. Wait, do you even want kids?"

"Of course I do.. But not now."

"I didn't mean now, I just meant later in the future."

"Oh, phew. You scared me half to death."

"You wouldn't want to have kids with me now?"

"Later, yes. Now, no."
