Christmas Day.

I wake up, next to Alex. The sun kind of shines through my curtains. It isn't the brightest days- especially in winter. I checked the time on my phone. It was 9am.

I realise the date. It's Christmas!

"ALEX WAKE UP! WAKE UP! IT'S FUCKING CHRISTMAS!" I scream, shaking him awake.

"What? Huh?"

"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" I jump out of bed and race into my dads room. "Dad! Dad! It's Christmas!"

"Alright, I'll be down in a minute."

I run into Tony's room. "TONY WAKE UP BROTHAAA IT'S FREAKIN' CHRISTMAS!" He suddenly shoots up, wide awake. We both run down the stairs- safely of course.

We sit around the tree and dad soon comes downstairs, with Alex. I sit there, bubbling with excitement. My dad nods and we start opening presents. This is so exciting!

"Abi, look outside." Alex says. I get up and run to the window. It's snowing! It's a freakin' white Christmas! Woo! He comes behind me and hugs me. "I guess I have a Christmas lover for a girlfriend eh?"

"Of course, Christmas is amazing!"

"Well, I have a present for you. But I'll give it to you later."

"Really? What is it? Tell me!"

"You'll have to wait, babe."

"But I can't wait. It's so difficult waiting a year for Christmas to come again. How long do I have to wait?"

"Well, till the evening."

"What? No fair!"

"You'll love it, it will be worth waiting for."

"Fine." I pout like a little child who didn't get their way. No, I'm not spoilt. I am just too excited and impatient.

"Good girl." He kisses me on my cheek.

"I'm not a dog."

"I didn't say you were."

"You were praising me like I am a dog."

"Hush, babe."

"But-"

"I wasn't calling you a dog. Now come on. Open that gift there."

"Is it from you?"

"It's from Santa."

"I may act like a little kid on Christmas but I do know Santa doesn't exist."

"Santa doesn't exist?!" I laugh. "No, the gift is from me."

"Oooh okay." I open the present and it's a navy blue dress with sparkles on it. It was wonderful. "I love it!"

"I knew you would. Now, you have to wear it later."

"Okay."

***

"How long does it take to get ready?"

"I'm a girl! Haven't you head the stereotype thing that girls take forever to get ready?"

"Fine, fine. But hurry, we'll miss our reservation."

"Why didn't you tell me you had a reservation?"

"Didn't think you would take this long to change."

"Alright, alright. I'm done."

"Good." We get into my car, him driving. Wow, it's so exciting that I have a car! It was rather difficult driving through the snow though.

We soon got to a restaurant that looked real fancy. Well that explained why Alex was wearing a suit and why I was wearing this dress which did look a bit fancy.

We got seated and were soon ordering our drinks. I didn't want an alcoholic drink and I felt like having something ice cold. So I ordered a lemonade with ice. Yum. Alex ordered beer. Typical. Joke.

"So, is this like a date or something?"

"Kinda."

"Kinda?"

"Yeah it's a date."

"A Christmas date. I love it."

"You love everything about Christmas."

"Yep!"

"Good, you'll love Christmas even more then."

"How so?"

"Nevermind." I looked at him confused but he just carried on drinking as if nothing happened.

We soon ordered our food. I ordered some steak and chips and he ordered a cheeseburger. Like, a cheeseburger? Really? You can get that anywhere. Like steak you can get from stores and cool it yourself but well I should stop. I'm not complaining. I mean, it might be a fancy burger or something. Who knows.

We soon finished eating our meal. My lemonade had sadly finished. It was very nice.

"Do you want desert?"

"Ooh yes! That sounds nice." I say. Alex asks the waiter for a desert menu as he came to take our plates away. He brought it to us and I saw the most amazing desert ever. It was a pile of brownies with chocolate sauce dripping all down it. It looked amazing. It was the picture that caught my eye though. "Up for brownies?"

"Uh why?"

"Thought we could share this." I show him the picture and his eyes light up.

"Damn that looks amazing. Not as amazing as you though."

"Oh hush, it looks like the most amazing thing in the entire world."

"I guess there's no question. We're ordering this then?" I nod. When the waiter comes bak we order it. It comes about five minutes later and I'm already in love with it by just looking at it.

We finish it, our stomachs about to explode. "I feel so full!" I complain.

"My stomach feels as if it's going to explode and believe me, I don't think that would be a pretty sight!"

"Lets go home."

"We have one more stop first."

"Okay." We drive for a long time and we arrive at a beach. A beach? "Alex, if you think I'm going in there, you have another thing coming."

"No, we aren't going in there. I think it would be rather cold in there. Freezing actually."

"Then why are we here?" The beach did look amazing though, covered in pure white snow. It was still snowing too! Beautiful.

He took my hands in his. "Abi, you know the first day I met you when you first joined our school you didn't strike me as the bad girl you actually are. I mean we weren't exactly friends at first but I did have a slight crush on you-"

"You had a crush on me?!"

"Shut up, don't tell anyone that."

"Okay, okay."

"Well, you are the most beautiful girl be ever met and I'm extremely happy you joined my school."

"Where is this going..?"

"I love you so fucking much and you know that. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He got down on one knee and pulled out a small case. Holy fudge balls! "Abigail Simmons, will you marry me?" He opened it and there was a ring. Well what else did I expect? A doughnut? I felt like fainting. Was this really happening? Oh my God!

"Of course I will." Tears were at the brim of my eyes. He put the ring on my finger and picked me up and hugged me and kissed me. "I love you so fucking much too."
