Heading Out

I was starting to get really excited. Luke's GT is one of the most expensive cars he owns, and he only races it on special occasions. It always comes out at the front of the pack.

I headed back to my room and grabbed my (short-sleeved) gray hoodie in case it was colder outside than I was expecting, then went back to the living room to wait for Luke.

He came out wearing his racing suit. I knew it was incredibly overkill for the circumstances, and he must have seen it in my eyes, because he gave me a "why not" sort of smile. "You ready to go?" he asked.

"Yep." I slipped on my hoodie. "Before I forget to say it... have fun out there."
