After last night I was able to sleep surprisingly well. As of lately I've always had uneasy feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach living with the Daemos, but I think I'm slowly getting used to them being around. "Ugggggh..." A loud groan echoing throughout the small apartment quickly caught my attention. I may have spoken too soon. I quickly rushed out of bed and followed the sounds of the continuing groans. Soon enough I made my way into Ava's room and watched as she continued to toss and turn. "Ava?" I questioned confused as I looked down at her laying in her bed. Her eyes red, dark bags under her eyes, and a dead expression on her face. "Hey, are you okay?" I questioned. "I haven't gotten any sleep..." She groaned. "Why?" I asked confused. Of the two of us Ava is the best at sleeping. She can do it day or night for hours and hours. It's almost unheard of for her to not be able to sleep.
Suddenly Pierce opened the door coming into Ava's room. "The sun has risen." He said. "I haven't gotten any sleep..." Ava repeated herself to Pierce. "But you said you'd take us out." Pierce reminded her. "I can't do that without sleep. It's how I get my energy." Ava tried to explain. "That explains why you are strong. You sleep a lot." Pierce noted. "Sleep." "I can't...I've been woken up so much I can't focus on sleeping." She explained. I watched Pierce go up and slowly rub her head. Ava's eyes slowly closed and soon enough she had fallen asleep. I smiled at his actions. "You're very kind Pierce." I whispered. I watched him go wide eyed at the word kind almost as if he hasn't heard of it before. "I promise we'll still go out later. For now let her get some sleep." I smiled walking out of Ava's room.
I slowly shut Ava's door to ensure I didn't wake her up again. "What time even is it?" I asked myself looking over at the clock to see that it was 5:13 AM. "Sorcerer Y/n?" I heard someone ask. I looked up to see Rhys wide wake. "What are you doing?" He questioned. "I fell asleep early yesterday, so I woke up a lot earlier than I normally do. I was gonna make breakfast for everyone." I explained. "You're going to cook?" He asked excitedly. "Yes." I said grabbing a lot of eggs. "May I help?" He asked. "You want to help me?" I questioned a little shocked. "I've been interested in this activity you call cooking. I want to learn more." Rhys explained. Out of all the boys Rhys is the one who enjoys learning new things. So far he's been the only one to figure out how to put on his human clothes, and has been the only one to want to learn more. "Sure I don't mind you helping." I smiled showing him how to cook scrambled eggs and toast.

"And we're done!" I said as I made plates for everyone. "That was intriguing." Rhys said staring down at the plates of food. "There's definitely more difficult things to make, but it's better to start off easy." I explained as the other Daemos gathered around. "You guys are in your human clothes?" I questioned. "Yes." Pierce said. "If you're out here, does that mean Ava's awake?" I asked looking past the Daemos to see Ava standing behind them. "Y/n..." She trailed off. "I need to talk to you alone." She quickly pulled my arm into her room and closed the door.
