You whimpered, curling up in a ball, gripping your head. Then you screamed.

"Make it stop!!"

The door to your room flew open, and Shin-ah's golden eyes were wide with alarm, sword out in front of him.

He immediately ran to your side, dropping the deadly blade to the floor along the way as he gently cupped your face. Worry covered his face as his eyes ran over you frantically, trying to determine the source of your pain.

"Y/N!" He called, shaking you. "Y/N!! Wake up!"

You shot up, nearly hitting him in the head, but he really could care less at the moment.

"Y/N..." He whispered in concern as you burst into tears. You clung to the front of his sweatshirt tightly, sobbing into it.

Shin-ah carefully wrapped his arms around you, tucking your body into his. Warmth emitted out from him, and your cries grew quieter until they eventually ceased. He rubbed your back comfortingly, letting you bury your face into his chest. Resting his chin on top of your head, he closed his eyes.

You were okay.

You found the weight of it soothing, and you risked a glance up at him. He was studying you closely, a hint of fear present in his golden eyes.

"I'm sorry..." You sniffled, brushing the back of your hand under your nose self-consciously. He immediately shook his head, kissing your forehead reassuringly.

He didn't know why you were apologizing. After all, it wasn't your fault. It's not like it was something you could control.

Shin-ah just wished there was something more he could do.

His action made you blush and your heart stuttered. Even after all this time together, the simplest of actions still sent a flutter through your heart.

"It's okay. Are you alright now?" He asked, peering at you closely. His face was incredibly close to yours and your mouth gaped open, unable to come up with a response. His brow knitted in concern as your cheeks colored.

Did you have a fever?

"I-I'm f-fine." You stuttered, once you found your voice. "Just, stay?"

Shin-ah automatically nodded, laying down and pulling the covers up over the two of you.

"I don't want to go to sleep yet." You quietly begged, hands still clutching the front of his sweatshirt. "Can we talk instead?"

He nodded, offering you a gentle smile. He wasn't overly fond of talking a lot, but for you, he would do anything.

"What do you want to talk about?" He encouraged, prying your tight grip away from his clothes. You cried out, but he silenced you by pressing his lips to yours, intertwining your hands together.

"Sorry," He apologized, kissing the back of your hand. "I wanted to hold you."

You blushed again and this time, he was really starting to get worried that you might be sick. He brought a hand up to your forehead.

"Are you not feeling well?" He asked, worried.

You brushed away his hand, pouting. "No, that's not it. It's all your fault!"

His eyes shot open, stunned.

What had he done?

You blinked up at him, puffing out your cheeks. "You make me feel hot all over. It's not fair, I can never get you to blush!"

Ah.

Well, at least you weren't sick.

Still, Shin-ah couldn't stop a goofy smile from spreading across his face as you scrunched up your nose adorably.
