Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn) Oneshot Collection

New Beginnings (Shin-ah x Reader)

(So, this is a future chapter taken from my fanfic, "The Varied Path", and I altered it into a oneshot.)

Setting: First takes place in the Seiryuu village when Yona, Kija and Yoon were all trapped.

You heard the faint chiming of bells.

Then, you met Kija's gaze, "He's here."

As the man scrambled to cover up his mistake, he knocked off Seiryuu's mask. Your eyes widened as you took in his stardust blue hair, the red marks on his cheeks and his beautiful, golden eyes. Yona's expression was one of shock and Kija was still as a statue beside her.

Ignoring the villagers' protests, you stepped towards Seiryuu until you were directly in front of him. He shut his eyes on instinct, and your soft voice commanded, "Don't hide from me."

Seiryuu hesitated, before blinking them open warily.

You beamed at him. "Beautiful." Seiryuu's breath caught in his throat.

You glared at the man who had knocked off his mask, reaching down to retrieve the item, before handing it to Seiryuu who took it with a blink of thanks. You offered him a smile in return.

Turning your attention back to the wall of rock behind Kija, you tilted your head before looking sideways at Seiryuu.

With that cue, Seiryuu approached Kija with an axe in hand. Then, he started whacking away at the jutting rock beside Kija.

You could practically see the smoke blowing out from Kija's ears.

"You!" He shouted at Seiryuu, with no real malice in his voice, "If you came to help us escape, shouldn't you have said so?! It would be tragic if the dragon warriors had to fight against one another!"

Then, Kija paused in confusion. "Hey wait... The entrance is over there."

Seiryuu paused his whacking to respond, "This way... leads to the outside..."

Yona and Yoon had stolen daggers from the villagers and began chipping away at the rock alongside Kija and the Seiryuu.

You placed your palm flat against the rock, timing the tremors and feeling which rocks were under the most pressure by tugging at them. A few fell away easily, then there was one boulder that was the size of your head in the middle. Ignoring the scrapes that started to appear on your hands and arms, you seized that one and pulled hard. It barely moved, but you continued to try to move it until it finally came free, along with many other rocks. You stepped out of the way as they rolled down, but then you bowed your head once you heard clanking.

Could that be...?

Thinking fast, you grabbed Yoon, despite his confused protesting, and Yona, hauling them both backwards; yelling over your shoulder, "Move!!" Hoping that Kija and Seiryuu would get out of the way in time.

The dragons ran away as the rock wall crumbled, revealing a very ragged Thunder Beast.

"Princess!!" He yelled, sharp blue eyes unusually panicked. "Y/N!"

"Hak!!" Yona sprang up, then he crushed her in a hug. Kija's mouth dropped open, Yoon mouthed 'finally' to you, and you let out a breathless laugh in response.

After he looked over Yona, making sure she wasn't hurt, he approached you, pulling you in for a brief hug.

"What happened?" Hak questioned, voice betraying the worry his eyes wouldn't show.

You looked down guiltily. "I found a secret passageway, and it turned out to be where the villagers were keeping the Seiryuu." 

Hak's head snapped up. "You found the Seiryuu?!"
