Betty didn't receive texts from Veronica anymore, it had been two weeks since she'd seen her, or talked to her. Veronica told her to keep her distance so she thought it might be better to do what she said...

It was what was best for the both of them even though she felt fire in her stomach seeing Veronica dancing around with Cheryl Blossoms and fire...down there seeing her in that sexy cheer leading outfit.

But nevertheless she was still expecting on her calls or texts from a number that would now be unknown, since her mother forced her to delete her number.

Bestie Archie🤞🧡: Hey!!! Betty?

Bestie Archie🤞🧡: Can we talk??

Betty's Phone: Um, sure. Pops?!

Bestie Archie✌️🧡: K, meet u in ten.

Archie wasn't there in ten, in fact, he wasn't even there in fifteen and Betty was starting to get a little bored waiting for him as she forced herself not to buy a third strawberry milkshake when she realised she was already half way through the current one in her hands.

"Are you stalking me?" Betty's eyes shot up at the familiar voice, Veronica stood there, one hand on a broom and another on her hips. Her black hair was pulled into a ponytail, she didn't get the message until looking at her outfit.

"What...what? N-No, I had no idea," Betty started rambling, "I was just waiting for Archie. You told me to stay ahead and that's what I've done. I wouldn't want to be creepy or anything-"

"God, no..." Veronica laughed, "I just wanted to say... I think it's better if I'm straight with you...kind of, if you know what I mean."

"Yes..." Betty fiddled with the straw in her drink, "What are you trying to say?" Thoughts of everything that could go wrong displayed in her head before Veronica spoke, sitting down.

"It's..." Veronica sighed, "I'm kind of, well not kind of, dating Cheryl Blossom."

Betty's eyes widened, her head snapped up, her lack focus was immediately adjusted, she felt anger rise in her chest. "What?"

"I'm dating Cheryl-"

"No, yeah, I heard you," Betty hands went under the table, her fists clenched together, nails digging into her palms. "I guess I just thought you were waiting for me or something...you..."

"Yeah," Veronica chuckled, it wasn't funny, she let strands of hair fall over her face, "I know..."

"Seriously?" Betty's raised her voice, "You do? Because what the fuck, Veronica? You tell me that you're waiting for me but then you turn around and start dating Cheryl freaking Blossom of all people."

"She's not that bad..." Veronica tried to defend her, "I mean, I'm on the cheer leading team with her..."

"Of course!" Betty rolled her eyes, "Of course your a cheerleader. I can't believe I was so stupid to think someone like you could ever be with someone like me."

"It's been like two weeks, I thought you hated me, Bee."

"I'm still Bee?" Betty stood up, "You can't be serious. No, everything my parents told me about you was correct."

"What? What did the Coopers say about me?" Veronica grabbed her arm, pulling her back.

"That you're a liar," She watched Veronica's some-what neutral expression fade, "That your whole family is full of liars. That Veronica Lodge is a selfish, stuck-up rich bitch that leaves everyone in the dirt."

Veronica's grip on her wrist loosened.

She stormed out of the shop, the bell twinkled as she stepped onto the car park. Jughead Jones was headed to Pops, bumping into a crying Betty Cooper, he paused in front of her, "Hey, hey! Betty, what's wrong?"

"Jug," Betty pulled her hands away, "It's...it's nothing. I'm fine, I'm fine. I just don't want to be at Pops anymore.

"I've actually been meaning to talk to you..."

"About what?"

"I've got...well, I need help. I have a problem."

"What? What is it? You have a problem, Jughead, I have several problems. And you've been too busy doing...whatever to notice."

"You're right, I have. I've been a shitty friend, Betty. But look, we can help each other!"

"Why?" Betty hands lifted in the air, "When have we actually done anything to help each other since the sixth grade-"

He pressed his lips onto hers, giving her a passionate kiss which she accepted, it felt weird, tense but she didn't realise what it had down until he released her from his hold and saw Archie. He stood in the distance, watching with shock as Jug kissed his best friend.

Veronica shook her head from in the shop window as she watched Betty move on so quickly. What the hell?
