Chapter|Nine|

I arose from my peaceful slumber. For once I didn't have any nightmares about my past. Well, I guess there's a first for everything. 

The Monokuma announcement has not yet played so I guess I still have time to take a shower and get ready. After some training, of course. I did the usual training routine of mine feeling more awake than ever. I had a bad feeling about today. Like something was going to happen. I jumped in the shower letting the hot water flow down my body. I think back on what happened the last few days. Two deaths of people I just met, being trapped on an island with no communication to the rest of the world. But there's been a fair share of good events too I guess. Being away from my family, making friends, baking with the rest of the girls, drinking coconut water on the beach. I just hope no one else dies, I want us all to get off this damn island together. Everyone here has families they want to go home to. They need to live. I cleared my head of thoughts and focussed on the shower I was having.

I stepped out of the shower and got dressed in my usual outfit. I still have some time until the announcement goes off. I decided to check my guns and make sure they are all in good condition when I remembered I gave Kazuichi one to mess around with. I gotta remember to get that back of him.

I opened the door of my cottage and made my way to the restaurant. There wasn't much time before the announcement rang anyway. As I entered the Restaurant I was met with 3 people, Mikan, Kazuichi and Hiyoko. It seemed like Hiyoko was bullying Mikan like usual so I made my way over to Kazuichi to ask about my gun.

"Hey, Kazuichi." I said with a monotone voice I just wanted to know if he still has my gun.

"Oh...Uh, Hey [F/N]. What can I do for you?" He seems like he's hiding something. I wonder what.

"I was wondering if you still have my gun I gave you a few days ago? You can still keep it if you haven't finished with it." I swear to God If he's lost my gun I wil-

"Oh...Aha...Um....About that." He puts his hand on his neck looking around nervously, his eyes darting everywhere but mine.

"Spit it out already!" I said with a hint of annoyance in my voice.

"...IkindaputitdownsomewhereandforgotwhereIleftit" He says his words mumbling into each other as he looks at the floor with sweat dripping down his face.

"Say it slower. How on earth am I met to understand what your saying?" He takes a deep breath and says he's words slower.

"I, um, lost your gun? I put it down somewhere and forgot where I left it." He states still looking down and the ground.

"I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!"

"...What? I wouldn't kill you over that. I won't kill anyone. Good job I only gave you the gun and not the bullets." 

I guess I dodged a bullet there...I hate myself for that. But still. The only bullets are in my cottage. And that's locked at all times unless I'm in there.

".Really? You're not bothered? Mann, I thought you'd be mad at me for that. Phew." His once nervous face turned into one of relief. He plastered a big shark grin on his face and his hands crossed behind his head.

"But, later you and I are going to go search for it. I don't want it falling into the wrong hands. Got it?"

Even though it doesn't have bullets in it, I'd rather not have people having it.

"Yeah, yeah. Okay." He says with a happy tone his smile never leaving his face. 

I walked away from him, giving a small wave and made my way over to get something to eat. While doing so the rest of the island filtered in with, of course, the last being Hajime joining in late to the conversation about the traitor and The World Destroyers. I just carry on eating not paying too much attention to the conversation at hand until something catches my attention.
